Wonderful Dr Hussain made me feel totally comfortable since the very first consultation. Would not hesitate to use him.

Dr Hussain was extremely professional in all aspects of the procedure which I underwent. From the initial consultation through the diagnosis to the operation and the follow up meetings everything was fully explained. The stitching following the operation was so good that it is hardly visible only a month later. Can recommend unreservedly.

From my first meeting with Doctor Hussain, I felt that I was in good hands. He clearly explained the necessary procedure to remove my basal cell carcinoma with MOHS treatment. On the day of my operation, I was looked after by Sister Lisa Martin and her team, with care and consideration. Under Doctor Hussain I felt relaxed and appreciated his good, sensible humour. I especially enjoyed his rendition of “The Sound of Music!” The operation went better than I expected, having no need to further remove any peripheral cells. My aftercare, from himself and his team sent me home happy. Returning for two check-ups, I was reassured that all went well. I would happily return to Doctor Hussain if I had further basal cell carcinomas.

I researched consultants in Leeds before choosing to see Dr Hussain. I was impressed by the positive reviews and statements about post surgery healing and that he is a skilled MOHS practitioner. I have not been disappointed. Dr Hussain immediately puts you at ease. He is straightforward and always checks that he has answered all your questions and concerns. Following biopsies I needed surgery on my face and leg. For my face I had MOHS surgery at Chapel Allerton and the whole team made the session as relaxed as it could be. Dr Hussain is a craftsman who cares for his patients. His singing not so great, but it’s not everyone who gets stitched to their surgeon singing the Sound of Music. My scar is settling well and is significantly improving over time. I would recommend Dr Hussain to anyone who may need surgery for a skin carcinoma, particularly if it is on a very visible area such as the face.

I was referred from York Teaching Hospital to Chapel Allerton for Mohs surgery on a large BCC on my right cheek. I was seen quickly by a multidisciplinary team and was allocated a nurse who would be my contact with the Hospital until treatment was completed. Each time I contacted her she was extremely supportive and helped me with my decision making. I had a number of options explained to me for the treatment of the BCC and was given time to decide on my preferred treatment. I opted for Mohs surgery under Dr. Hussain. I was seen for surgery within 3 months of my initial appointment (despite Covid). Communication from the hospital was excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment I received. Dr. Hussain and his team explained clearly what the surgery would involve and put me at ease. During the operation Dr Hussain, Lisa and Gina were conversational and good humoured and I felt relaxed and confident throughout. Once the cancer had been removed, Dr Hussain carried out plastic surgery to reconstruct my face. I was given clear advice on after care and returned to Leeds after 3 days for the dressing to be changed and a week later to have the dressing removed. I have since had regular check ups to monitor the healing of the wound. Five months on it is difficult to see that any surgery has taken place. I cannot thank Dr.Hussain and his team enough for their care and am in awe of their expertise.
