Dr Moumita Chattopadhyay

While I was in the USA on business, I was diagnosed with melanoma cancer. I was told I needed to see a consultant urgently upon my return to England. My wife made an appointment with Dr. Moumita Chattopadhyay who saw me the day after I returned and then did the necessary surgery within a week. When a second procedure was needed she came in early to squeeze me into her day before the rest of her scheduled patients. She went above and beyond what was expected in order to take care of me. Dr. Chattopadhyay made me feel at ease with her pleasant smile and excellent people skills. She was able to communicate clearly what was going on, allowing for questions. She explained what she was going to do and why she needed to do a certain procedure. During the medical procedure she checked with me regularly to make sure I was feeling no discomfort. She also used positive reinforcement while she was working on me. “You are lying so still- thank you!” “I am almost finished, you are doing so well.” “Please tell me if you are feeling any discomfort.” Dr. Chattopadhyay’s medical skills are excellent. Over a period of three months, she needed to remove 4-5 places on my body. In each case the scar was minimal. There was no infection. The stitches held my skin together for the healing process. Dr. Chattopadhyay is a brilliant surgeon! Dr. Chattopadhyay’s administration skills and communication skills are excellent. Sometimes she would personally call me to organise an appointment. Dr. Chattapadhyay works out of several hospitals, but I was never confused about where my appointments or procedures were to be performed. My doctor’s surgery is in Worcester. But I also have a doctor’s surgery in the USA. Dr. Chattopadhyay sent copies to every doctor as well as myself. I never had to chase up any paperwork. Each follow up visit was good. She was never rushed. She took adequate time to examine me, go over the results, and explain to me what we needed to do next. She also laid out the options and allowed me to choose. Being an American and familiar with the US health system I am positioned to compare Dr. Chattopadhyay’s skills to my experience with US doctors. I can unreservedly recommend Dr. Chattopadhyay.
