Having been misdiagnosed by a Senior dermatologist at City hospital, I continued following his advice for 4 years. Due to difficulties in having time off work I went to a dermatologist closer to home. I was told that with this diagnosis there was nothing they could do and discharged me. The diagnosis wasn't questioned. The dermatologist at City hospital made the diagnosis on sight alone. No checks were ever done. I didn't know any better. A couple of years ago I had a particularly bad attack and asked my GP to refer me somewhere else for a second opinion. I had a long 2 year wait but i finally met Dr.Chua. This woman is an angel sent from heaven. She listened and arranged tests, photographs etc. She said that I had been treated poorly and gave me great hope that I was now in safe hands. Talking to one of the nurses, I mentioned how she had gone above and beyond in my appointment and the nurse told me how helpful she was to the staff, nothing was too much trouble and that her job was her life. If you need a dermatologist who seriously cares, combined with a superior knowledge of many aspects of medicine outside her own field, you would be very lucky to see Dr.Chua.
