I was referred to Neurology due to the onset of involuntary movements and spasms; that have gradually got worse over time. I do not feel that this doctor listened to me, nor do I feel that my concerns were taken seriously. After waiting a long period of time to get this appointment, I feel I am no further forward and left feeling extremely upset and disappointed by how I was dismissed.

i have fybromyalgia asnd arthritus also rls which recently got worse resulting in full on spasms when i relax i havent slept properly for weeks.she did give me a full examination but kept saying weight loss. i have always been big at 6 ft 1 . and with arthritus not being able to exersise. she blamed the spasms on medication that my gp prescribed when googled the meds it was the right one for spasms. she is going to take me off my meds for rls and give me some other meds which i dread which means more sleepless nights.she talked over me.and talked to me as if i was a simpleton.at one point she told me to google insominia when i snapped back i taught karate and got into meditation and listened to binaural beat to make me sleep nothing stopped the spasms she wasnt bothered she fobbed me off to my own gp and i have to wait again to see them when they dont have expertise to sort this. i have seen dr mowafi and hes worse than her. i find the lack of empathy and understandind from this staff doctors abismal. and they talk down to you and do not listen. disgrace disgrace disgrace.

Absolutely disgraceful. All she cared about was handing me off and getting to her next patient. From the information I gave her she took that then repeated it to me as if she had come up with this herself which I and my doctor had already told her prior to this. She didn't follow the instructions my doctor gave which was the reason I was there in the first place and handed me back to my doctor to go through the exact same thing I have been discussing for the past 3 years. Diabolical.

One star is the lowest it'll allow me to go. He claims to have have read my medical records, yet has got the basics wrong. Medication I'm not taking(and haven't taken for 39 years) are having no effect. Little wonder when you think about it. A novel approach made by him, asking the patient to video a Grand-Mal fit, as it happens. How this is to be done was never said. Do I carry a video camera everywhere I go? There is no warning before a fit, and I doubt pulling out a video camera either in the back of an ambulance or an A&E department would go down well. Even if it is "doctors orders". Been in too many A&E departments over the years. Records clearly state that fits have been recorded, on the ward & the treatment given, he's missed this despite being given the dates. Choosing instead to say that they have never been observed.

I have had a mess made of my medical records. Simple things like what was being taken, what has been taken by me. Overstating the impact of the epilepsy. All by her. Medication prescribed and amounts. All incorrect I have had to seek recourse to get the records corrected and I'm still waiting. They are simple things, that when first realised, and later mentioned to her she brushed aside as having no relevance. They have however impacted on the treatment being given. Both by herself and others. Due to her, I resorted for the first time in my adult life to seeking advice over what she was wanting to do. And I'm glad to say that we have moved on from those times when such treatment was "administered", whether the patent consented to it or not. My brain my be far from perfect, but its got me this far in life without resorting to surgery. She will be only the third specialist/person that will have had access to my medical records denied to her. I do not feel safe seeing her. For anyone seeing her, make certain you make a note of what you say to her and her response to it. Treat patients as people, not lab rats.
