I had a consultation with Dr Jos back in May. My understanding is that he is a very knowledgeable practitioner with great experience and great qualities like patience, passion for his job, empathy and sensibilty. He is very caring and he contacted me back to see if my treatment was successful. I do recommend Dr Jos as one of the best I ever met.

Dr Selwyn-Gotha had a very nice manner and seemed very confident in his approach. We felt we were in good hands. The only thing that would be better was if there was a follow up call in a week's time and full test results be available for our GP and being able to contact the AandE doctor as symptoms are ongoing. I'm surprised there is not much more joined up working with all the methods of communication available as a lot of time wasted with phonecalls to the 111 service and visits/calls to GP. Feel like we are going round in circles also this is more costly to the NHS. I appreciate so much that we do have services available. I found the A and E nurses and doctor fantastic.

We were very lucky to have Dr Jos. We came to hospital very worried about our 5 year old son who had badly injured his leg. Dr Jos was very calm, empathic, professional and kind and really set our minds at rest. He also communicated brilliantly with our 5 year old and took out a lot of his worry and concern about the situation. He made sure he found and understood the problem (not an easy greenstick fracture to pick up on the xray) explained the diagnosis in full and the reasons why he thought it had happened in our instance. He went through the immediate treatment and following on process clearly with a friendly and warm manner. Thank you so much for giving us such good care at the hospital. I honestly think my son will recover quicker as a result of removing some a lot of the stress at the start. Please also give our thanks to the nurse who assisted when you see her again.

Dr Jos Selwyn-Gotha was really great at helping my mum who recently visited St. George’s A&E. My mum was sent in by her nurse with low haemoglobin Dr Jos explained in depth about what mums results meant and what he was going to put in place to get mum investigated to find out the reason for her drop in blood. He also had a student with him that he again explained everything in depth to and she understood what he meant by it all. Dr Jos bedside manner was fantastic he didn’t make me or my mum fell like we was wasting time and we both walked out knowing he had put some investigations in place which should get mum the results she needs and get her back on the road to recovery.
