Having switched consultants to Dr Alison Birtle my wife and I could not be happier with our first review despite some negative information. She put us a ease right away and our questions were answered fully and sensitively. We were relieved to be told that I would undergo relevant scans to ascertain the current position of my cancer following my recent chemotherapy programme. In addition she wished to explore the effects of current ongoing injection treatment on my bone density and also widened our knowledge with helpful information. Whatever the future holds we now feel in safe hands.

My son was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2011. We were told by Mr Duffy his surgeon that he would be treated by the best Dr Alison Birtle, and how right he was. She was there for him from the word go, not only as a professional but she has also been a friend to him. We have never once doubted her treatment. She even went to visit him when she heard that he had been admitted into hospital to have an unrelated operation. My son is still in her care, and as a mother I am so grateful for the care that she has given and is still giving to him.
