Reviews
This consultation was as pleasant and uplifting as an Oncology consultation could possibly be.
I have now seen Dr. Birtles on a number of occasions, right from the start of my treatment for prostrate cancer, going back two years. She has been most helpful on every occasion and very friendly to me and my wife who has accompanied me on a number of my appointments. She has always explained everything in great detail ,easy to understand and always willing to listen. On every appointment I have found the nursing staff most courteous and helpful.I have no complaints and have nothing but praise and gratitude for the dedication and work they all cary out.
Patient at both Preston and Lancaster.
Dr Alison Birtle is, in my view, a jewel in the crown of the NW NHS. She oversaw excellent treatment and care for me during my treatment for prostate cancer at the Rosemere Cancer Centre during 2011, and afterwards at her oncology clinics at Lancaster Royal Infirmary. At all times Dr Birtle was friendly and approachable, kept me fully informed of my progress, and answered any questions I had clearly and without condescension. I have been clear of cancer now for six years since my treatment and owe Dr Birtle and her colleagues and assistants a great debt of gratitude for this.
I have been a patient of Dr Birtle,s for almost 3 yrs, when we first met I was very apprehensive, Dr Birtle explained the treatment to me and the options to go forward. the package Dr Birtle put together has been extremely effective. I think Dr Birtle is extremely good at her job, she gets the treatment going forward as quickly as possible and I believe she is one of the best in the country. I have been very lucky to have an outstanding consultant. I would also like to thank the efficient and friendly staff at Rosemere centre in Preston...
Dr Birtle was very easy to talk to, very pleasant, always used first names.
