She treated me with knowledge, intelligence and kindness. I trust that she will give me the best possible treatment and explain things to me along the way.

What a gift as Christmas approaches to find Prof Birtle hanging, metaphorically, from my Christmas tree. My first consultation today was friendly, helpful, clear and I left knowing what would be in store and what I could/should do to help myself. A recent diagnosis caused a degree of bewilderment and anxiety and the clarity and friendly accessibility of her explanation enabled me to understand the likely future course of my treatment and my prognosis. I left knowing that I was in the safest of hands.

Dr Birtle I found to be very approachable and engaging. She is blessed with natural empathy whcih helps so much in dampening down anxiety making situations. Both I and my wife who was present felt very confident we were in good hands.

I had consultations with Dr Birtle over a period of four years and at all times I felt that I was receiving very personal attention. Dr Birtle was caring and empathetic and I particularly appreciated the clarity and precision with which she explained the changing circumstances of the journey that I was on. Right at the start she resolved uncertainties about the treatment I should have and more recently she stepped in to prevent delays in the treatment that I then needed. I am very grateful to her for her care over this time.
