Dr Kidd was friendly and informative, answering all my questions and totally putting me at ease before the procedure, which was under a spinal entry. The last I heard him say was "you will feel a slight prick from this needle" and then I woke up. More than an hour had passed and it was all over. He visited me four times thereafter, explained what was happening and how and why I was feeling the way I was. I was very comfortable in his care: thank you.

Dr Kidd (Sandy) was a very reassuring anaesthetist before, during and after my total hip replacement operation at Spire St Anthony’s hospital. He explained what sort of anesthetic and analgesic procedures I’d be getting, and when I woke up I was very comfortable (considering what a major surgery had just taken place!). I also thought that Sandy was very much part of the whole operating team, working closely with orthopaedics, and that came across in his consultations with me during recovery and after. A fantastic doctor whom I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
