This is a long overdue review for an extremely compassionate, kind and caring doctor who restored my faith in GPs. My son has complex mental health issues and Dr Sulaimon was a beacon of light in a horrible dark period for us. Thankyou, you helped keep us going.

Dr. Sulaiman is the finest GP I have ever consulted. She listens, explains, acts decisively and, above all, actually cares for her patients. I trust her one hundred per cent. She has treated me for a previously serious and now ongoing heart problem, and for a condition which could have been, and mercifully proved not to be, cancerous. BUT... Because of the present, in my view unnecessarily complicated, appointment system, I have not managed to see her at all for the last year to eighteen months thereabouts, in spite of my strenuous efforts to do so. I am not calling into question the expertise or response of other doctors in the practice to whom I have been referred, but expertise does not always invite the close, confidential rapport, or knowledge of my medical history, which I was able to build with this doctor. I lament this-and am frustrated by it. I do not consult doctors unnecessarily and have no wish so to do, but beyond my expressed wish for continuity of care with this particular doctor-or, indeed, with any GP.- I would like to register how inhibiting I find the present telephone appointment system to be. Medical matters should, in my view, be dealt with face to face and confidentially. Whilst understanding how dire the present shortage of GPs is proving to be, and having sympathy for the practice's problems in this respect, I cannot help but speculate that patients and doctors might feel both more secure and satisfied if the former appointment system were to be reinstated. I have a been registered with Hayesbank surgery for some twenty years.

After several appointments and blood tests spanning months for the same recurring issue I was finally booked a CT scan at Margate hospital (I live in Ashford) under a private healthcare setup which I only found out by calling the hospital itself to see if an appointment could be made at the William Harvey. I have never been provided with a referral letter from this doctor - which is standard protocol for arranging private healthcare authorisation. Now I have to cancel the long awaited CT scan as to change it under an NHS booking would mean to start the whole process again My experience of this doctor has been disgraceful and in my opinion the handling of the situation breaches a code of practice and standard of care that I would expect from a registered GP I called the doctors surgery today to speak with the doctor and ask for a referral letter but no-one available and will need to call back in the morning to see if a telephone consultation is possible Hopefully the CT scan doesn't reveal anything life threatening as this has been a 9 month process (at least) to obtain a diagnosis of some sort - especially after being told one of my (many) blood test results could be a sign of cancer amongst other things - typically unspecific and no thought or care when mentioning such possibilities to the patients state of mind given the length of time to arrange suitable diagnosis
