Once again, I am having problems getting hold of a replenishment set of my contact lens. I rang and was advised I needed to come in store to order and pay for them. I did, was left sat for 20 mins while to assistant disappeared. He was really nice but I was then told they had to be ordered in and would take 5-7 days. Its now been 10 days, no contact. I've tried ringing but as previous, no one answers the phone. So frustrating. The last time, this has happened nearly every time I want more lens, I have had to travel in and on occasions they have not been ordered. I really don't know why I continue. I wrote a letter in 2017 and was given complimentary lens, maybe I should try again as this seems to be the only other way of communicating with them
Every time my family and I visit we have cause for complaint. Long waiting times. I was promised a contact lens and after two weeks it hadn't arrived I rang up. Not been ordered. They tried to lie and say they were waiting for it, but eventually admitted it had not been ordered. My daughter keeps getting letters to say she needs an eye test ,she's had one. My husband was told he needs a referral for a peripheral vision retest he's still waiting three months later. No doubt they've forgotten. All they try to do is sell overpriced glasses. Just badly run and managed.
I came in today since my glasses needed adjusting, this is the 5th time I had to come in to get it adjusted, previously I went to a Sheffield Queens Rd store. I was seen my a young gentleman called Shuaib (sorry if it's spelt wrong). He managed to adjust my glasses in one go and the previous 4 times I had attended, I felt that the adjustment had just was worse overyime. I was able to be very open with Shuaib and he made me feel at ease. He never stops smiling and is very welcoming. He is a credit to boots.
Absolutely shocking service - appointment at 4.05 walked out at 7.05 without any glasses. Whilst the staff were polite there were groups of staff stood about doing nothing, but apparently there was no one available to do varifocal assessment. One assistant I asked a question of turned to speak to her colleague as if I wasn’t in the vonversation she was so rude! I had chosen some frames but didn’t read the small print on the side with extortionate additional cost for lenses - the young lady who assisted me was new and wasn’t aware of this hidden cost. Should have gone to Specsavers. Actually I went to Asda got amazing designer frames with lenses, prescription sunglasses for less than half the price of boots with polarised lenses on sunglasses. BUT most of all the staff were lovely, helpful and very pleasant couldn’t do enough for me.
