Very friendly staff and minimal waiting
Do not attend at King's George or Queen's Hospital if you want to receive a proper emergency treatment. They don't care about patients. Very inexperienced medical staff and a long wait for more than 16 hours and no treatment provided.
All but two nurses were pleacent, were caring, friendly and compassionate.
The other two were abrupt to the point of rude and quiet uncaring - I believe one may have been a Sister, she wore dark blue uniform.
While in Majors Bay 19 this person upset more than one person.
Ignoring what she said to me; there was a frail elderly lady in opposite Bay. The elderly lady (with dementia) may have asked a question. However, this lady was shouted at, in very rude terms; upsetting drastically.
Her daughter arrived shortly over wards; I do not remember if she was there previously. The lady was crying and in distress; I was able to inform the daughter, of what happened.
When that nurse was taken to task about it, she stated that she would not stop until the person who did the offence, was found but it was the same nurse!
The care for my son was good but the wait is too much
The staff did the best that they could under the circumstances but a&e was overcrowded with patients in the corridors and people sitting on the floors. Staff were fed up. Many patients with mental health issues shouting and others distressed made it difficult for you to relax and sometimes it felt unsafe. We waited nearly 10 hours mostly in the corridors with people and the patient was 93!! Staff looked tired and deflated. Patients were in pain, discomfort and disbelief!
Being rushed in to hospital A&E by ambulance after a bad chest pain
being told I was a main priority and will be soon quickly from 11:30pm I managed to finally get seen by a doctor 11am the next day only to be told they need another blood sample and waiting again over 2hours then being told X-ray then 1 and half hours then told ct scan then waiting many many hours and finally leaving the hospital 6pm this is ridiculous
A&E receptionist have no care for you
Nurses have no care for you
Doctors have no care for you
It was a bad day and with pain still till now after a few days but doctors told Me it’s nothing was this just to get rid of Me? As I am definitely feeling continuous pain shard and restricting my movements but doctor said nothing to worry about
Really wish things would change and people would show some care finally
Was totally looked after. Was expecting large delays but was triaged fairly quickly but the wait after that was lengthy.
Good clean environment and polite and helpful staff.
I was sent to urgent care with a migraine, visual disturbance and no tolerance to noise and sat in a crowded loud busy room for 3 hrs.. the gp then decided I needed more tests and sent to A&E with a possible clot or brain bleed… 3 further hours later a ct scan was done and some more bloods.. then there was apparently a dr there to review but no body was called for the next 12 hours.. so overall 17 hours later I was seen, given a bed for 15 mins whilst I got a drip and then sat on a chair with advise to be referred to a specialist and sent home.. for a disabled person with a migraine they sent me home worse off then coming in..
Everyone was fantastic asides from one senior Dr. He was a bit rude and kept shouting even though I had told him I was in with a migraine attack with severe photophobia, sensitivity to noise and smell. It was when a Jr Dr then spoke up for me that he finally lowered his tone.
The casualty was very busy and chaotic, waited over 16 hours before I was seen. I didn't know what was going on. I was sent home after 20 hours and was not followed up as I had been told. A really awful experience.
