I think it is very good and helpful.
Just starting to look at everything.
I was first treated at KGH in February 2014 when I fractured my arm after a fall. I was treated with great care and respect by everyone in A and E and afterwards by the staff in the fracture clinic. Mr Shah was not only an excellent clinician but was very good at explaining my treatment and was also very kind. Afterwards I again received excellent treatment in the physiotherapy dept.
Today I returned to the physiotherapy dept. for another reason and I again received excellent treatment this time from Lucie Stringer. She was very thorough, kind and
compassionate.

Recently attended A&E with child and a broken arm. When we asked the Receptionist for a wheelchair for him I was told by the receptionist, whilst she was typing, that she was 'a bit busy at the moment and that if I wanted a wheelchair I needed to find one myself'. Then when asked if my son could have some pain relief I was told to give him what I had in my handbag otherwise he would have to wait until he was assessed. When I asked how long the wait was I was then told that there were plenty of other patients in front of my son and we'd have to wait.
Once we got past reception and got assessed the care that we received was good but we felt appalled by the attitude, conduct and behaviour of the Receptionist.
This review is about the treatment centre at Kettering Hospital- not the main hospital building.
Great treatment from first to final appointment at the breast care centre- treated kindly, calmly, everything was explained well and during a biopsy, the team of 4 staff were superb- kind, caring, understanding- and even made me a coffee after the procedure!
I've had negative experiences within the main hospital, but this treatment centre was superb!
My mother received no treatment for a failing heart valve for 6 years.
Eventually she had a heart attack and had to have a replacement and a bypass at Harefield
The surgeon said it was a very difficult operation but if they had done it 6 years ago it would have been easy
Appalling wait in A&E; brusk, ill-trained staff; cramped facilities; poor information.
Disabled people left to stand outside blood lab.
