Recently attended A&E with child and a broken arm. When we asked the Receptionist for a wheelchair for him I was told by the receptionist, whilst she was typing, that she was 'a bit busy at the moment and that if I wanted a wheelchair I needed to find one myself'. Then when asked if my son could have some pain relief I was told to give him what I had in my handbag otherwise he would have to wait until he was assessed. When I asked how long the wait was I was then told that there were plenty of other patients in front of my son and we'd have to wait. Once we got past reception and got assessed the care that we received was good but we felt appalled by the attitude, conduct and behaviour of the Receptionist.
