I had to do some samples and handed them in to be sent for testing and 2 weeks later still not had any update called them today and they said they are still waiting so the receptionist team are useless and losing the samples shows this surgery is not trust worthy

Suggested improvements
A better reception team this bunch ain’t the best

Following an econsult regarding a referral, I received a telephone consultation from a GP. He was very empathetic, listened to me and provided me with explanation of why I was like I am. In addition to the referral is also undertaking tests. I have always had a positive experience at this surgery. Unfortunately you always hear when something is bad but we need to highlight the good.

I’m giving this a low rating due to the horrible experience I constantly have with their receptionists. There is only one lady that’s very nice and patient, the others are horrible to deal with. They lack medical understanding and knowledge of the patient. They do not have compassion let alone empathy. I have one slam the phone down on me and they don’t like being challenged when they’re in the wrong. The receptionists team requires changes immediately, they need to improvement on patient services, telephone manners and general knowledge. They are extremely unhelpful! GPs are nice and ok but it’s a miracle if you manage to get through to them at all!

Suggested improvements
Better training as a patient service team, everyone needs medical training and training I. Practising empathy! They also need to learn to take better and more accurate notes!

When I actually get to see a doctor I feel as if I have good care. I understand why the surgery is so nervous of seeing patients but it feels as if they have not moved with the times and are still in afraid, whereas the hospitals feel like it is now just a new routine and I feel welcomed in the hospital. I love not having a crowded waiting room and hope that element can continue.

Suggested improvements
It is just about impossible to get through on the phone. Surely if we are continuing with more distance consultations the time has come to increase the phone capacity? I think the website needs to be clearer too eg how to get test results.
