Shorter waiting times to get appointment
My father died after going through your triage system 3 times in one week. Each time told an appointment wasn't needed and diagnosed on he phone. He died the following Tuesday and we watched him die in intensive care. My father could have been saved in our opinion. Please do not remove this feedback. The GMC, CQC and NHS England are aware I am trying to leave this feedback and it's being removed. I will not name the GPs and I have a right to leave this feedback for other patients to read.
I tried to get an appointment through this new fangled triage system. Twice I called for what I felt was an emergency appointment. Twice my illness was discussed and diagnosed over the phone like I was just after a chit chat and not an appointment. Do the doctors realise triage is the replacement for wanting emergency care. Thankfully My son is a paramedic and rushed me in hospital. I'm just out of intensive care. Please whats going on at this surgery?
Helpful friendly reception staff. Made to feel at ease. Called with a new problem and spoke to a GP within an hour. I was also given an appointment later that morning to see a GP face to face. Excellent service.
I was diagnosed over the phone for a serious set of symtoms, told by doctor over phone I had a cold no need for anti biotics as it was a virus. I got off the phone and cried. Then went down to urgent care and ended up being admitted to hospital with double pneumonia!
I am sorry that you have had this experience and would like to look into your case and see how your consultation with our doctor was conducted and the specifics about your call. We are continually trying to improve our service and it would be very useful if you could contact me so that I can look into your case. Colin Neal Practice Manager
