As the other reviewers have said the service from the reception staff is often rude and unprofessional, they can be very patronising and gormless when it comes to reasoning why they won't do/ haven't done something you need them too, the wait time is excessive the doctor who does the telephone appointments and fills out the prescriptions is more concerned with the cost of the drugs to the practise than the treatment they provide or the conditions they need to treat, several people have said there is a good doctor and it's true when they wrote their reviews there was an exceptionally good doctor here but alas doctor Yadev has now left and we have yet to meet another GP nearly as good. the nurses are good. we will be moving away soon so as it takes so long for the GP change over these days we will now wait but otherwise we would have changed surgery months ago. all the comments from previous reviews are accurate too. nothing to recommend it!

All my experiences witht the reception staff have been unplasant (and I am trying to be objective and informative and not venting my frustratin here) Only once the person answering the phone was professional and positive. It is difficult to get an appointment in less than a week (when I needed one) The place looks unkept, dark and the rooms I visited were untidy and cluttered giving a sense of lack of care and efficiency and poor hygene. I have only seen their locom GPs, in the past not particualrly good or bad, most recently I left the practice with a feeling that I was wasting their time. Some conditions may be difficult to diagnose, never the less can seriously affect patients and an answer such as "there are more test that can be done, but this would get you worried about it" is not really reassuring or helpful. I have gone elsewhere for help.

Large and busy practice so getting an appointment within a reasonable time-scale is difficult. Typically I have been offered an appointment in 5-7 days time. If you say that's not good enough, they operate a triage system so one of the GPs will call you and assess whether or not you are to be offered an earlier appointment. This seems to work as on the three occasions I needed to be seen that day, I was. There are 4 GPs in the practice, plus they have trainee GPs and the occasional locum. Two of the GPs are excellent. Two are not - abrasive, indifferent, patronising are words I would use to describe their manner. I would rather wait that see either of them. The waiting room is dingy and the seats uncomfortable. The reception staff are pleasant, but I often feel that their attitude comes across as "it's all a bit too much bother." It is a busy surgery and they don't seem to have enough people dealing with patients so there are often queues. Now that I know which GPs to avoid, I see one of the two I trust and have no complains, only praise about the standard and quality of care I receive.
