Large and busy practice so getting an appointment within a reasonable time-scale is difficult. Typically I have been offered an appointment in 5-7 days time. If you say that's not good enough, they operate a triage system so one of the GPs will call you and assess whether or not you are to be offered an earlier appointment. This seems to work as on the three occasions I needed to be seen that day, I was. There are 4 GPs in the practice, plus they have trainee GPs and the occasional locum. Two of the GPs are excellent. Two are not - abrasive, indifferent, patronising are words I would use to describe their manner. I would rather wait that see either of them. The waiting room is dingy and the seats uncomfortable. The reception staff are pleasant, but I often feel that their attitude comes across as "it's all a bit too much bother." It is a busy surgery and they don't seem to have enough people dealing with patients so there are often queues. Now that I know which GPs to avoid, I see one of the two I trust and have no complains, only praise about the standard and quality of care I receive.
