It is impossible to get any sort of even the worst of customer service at this supposed to be medical practice. I personally think rudeness and bad attitude is a requirement for their job in this practice. Out of hospital over 3 weeks, medication changed by hospital. Can’t get in to see or talk to a doctor about the prescription change so can’t get the meds I need. Can’t order on line as I need to see a doctor what are you supposed to do?

The service at this surgery is beyond a joke. I have been trying for 4 weeks to get an appointment and when I eventually get through I am very rudely told to ring back tomorrow. It is not unusual to make over 100+ calls in any morning and still not get an answer never mind an appointment. They tell you that you can make an appointment on line but that has not been available for a long time and is still, as of this morning, still not available. I have a number of the conditions listed below but I am also recovering from cancer surgery, so please tell me where is the care here?

Suggested improvements
get better staff or send them of a course for customer service. If they were in any other job they would be long gone. Why is there only one phone line to the surgery? Surely if there were a number of lines would give help get at least give a chance of getting an appointment.

It is impossible to get an appointment unless you stress that it is urgent.Even then it is still difficult. I appreciate that these are difficult times as far as the health service is concerned but this practice is really bad as far as appointments are concerned. I am almost 80 years of age and was feeling unwell. I phoned and was told there were no appointments available. I appealed, saying I felt ill and the best I could get was a telephone appointment a week ahead. I am going to try to move to another practice but am afraid they will be even worse. Hillhead Family Practice continue to accept new patients when they cannot deal with those already on their panel. They did handle Covid Vaccinations and Flu injections well but patients need to speak to and hopefully see a doctor. How can one explain pain a in specific place over the telephone?

Suggested improvements
There is a recorded warning when one telephones advising that abuse of staff will not be tolerated. This, of course, goes without saying but receptionists can be rude and dismissive and people are afraid to object in case they are accused of abuse. I have experienced rudeness on a number of occasions as well as good manners at other times. I am not a suppliant but a person who worked for 40 years, paying National Insurance. I am entitled to courteous, efficient service.

A few of the staff are absolutely lovely but most of the new ones 2 in particular think they are doctors themselves and are very rude I’ve been with this surgery all my life and have had a great relationship with them up until now the doctors are fantastic but as I say some staff are bringing the practice down

Suggested improvements
Doctors make the actual decisions about patients not non medical staff
