Absolute joke of a place! Nightmare to even get through, then you have the arrogant receptionists to deal with, with no guarantee of an appointment! I am a cancer patient and I was made to get to the surgery within 20 minutes, as I was told the shutters go down at dead on 6-30! Best part of it was I was waiting for a call back from the doctor from 3-30pm! Had no call after 3 calls to surgery even though Salford Christie hospital rang through for me insisting I needed assessing immediately by a gp! I felt ill when I got the doctors and this must have been visible as I could hardly move. The doctor was not interested as he was obviously finishing for Christmas! Total waste of a journey and I was unwell when i got home. Wish I hadn't bothered going at all. No compassion or care the place is a joke!

Received letter to attend diabetic clinic. It advises that I have already been sent this letter previously and a blood form was enclosed. Needless to say I have not received the first letter. Second letter advises me to collect blood form from surgery. Rang surgery, eventually got through. Made appointment for appropriate clinic. Could not get appropriate appointment for blood to be taken. Rang Leighton. Could only get appointment for blood to be taken on day after clinic appointment. Rang surgery again to change clinic appointment. Kept on hold in queue. Explained situation and cancelled first clinic appointment. Then advised that no further clinic appointments would be released until the end of the week. Loosing the will to live here! Have now wasted two days trying to sort compatible appointments. Have just cancelled them all. Maybe that’s what they want then they can put the blame on the patient.

My wife came out from seeing the doctor feeling worse than she did when she went in. I feel there was no care given and people skills were rated as nil

Normally I don't notice or chat with the reception staff so have no preconceived ideas on how they should or shouldn't behave, whenever I've been to the desk I've found them polite and professional but never gave them any further consideration. Today was the exception I'm sorry I didn't get the young ladies name, but in less than five minutes she made me feel special! I actually felt that my medication and appointment were of the utmost importance and at that time my needs were all that mattered, as I left Eagle Bridge I actually had a spring in my step. So being someone who is better known for my grumpiness and who never really thought about this part of the practice I think it is right to say thank you for your attention.

I am most dissapointed at my recent upgrade to my Patient Access account which promised access to my 'Medical Records'. I had to take two forms of ID to the reception, one being a photo ID. Once approved, even though they have my address, email address and telephone number I was told I need to collect the password in the form of a letter back at reception the next day. An unnecessary inconvenience for me, and the most insecure way, as the receptionist asked me my name and gave me the letter without checking my ID!!?? After all that, once logged in there is no access to medical records at all!! The Medical Records tab just shows my prescription info (which I already had access to) and allergies. NOTHING ELSE! Why did I bother? Is this another box ticking exercise for a Government requirement? Also it would be nice if someone from the practice could acknowledge that the actually read these comments, and even make the odd reply!
