I am most dissapointed at my recent upgrade to my Patient Access account which promised access to my 'Medical Records'. I had to take two forms of ID to the reception, one being a photo ID. Once approved, even though they have my address, email address and telephone number I was told I need to collect the password in the form of a letter back at reception the next day. An unnecessary inconvenience for me, and the most insecure way, as the receptionist asked me my name and gave me the letter without checking my ID!!?? After all that, once logged in there is no access to medical records at all!! The Medical Records tab just shows my prescription info (which I already had access to) and allergies. NOTHING ELSE! Why did I bother? Is this another box ticking exercise for a Government requirement? Also it would be nice if someone from the practice could acknowledge that the actually read these comments, and even make the odd reply!
