Luckily I don't have to come to the surgery often but when I do I always find the level of care outstanding. I'm always well informed and listened to by the doctors and all the staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely nurse today saw I bruised badly from a blood test last week so took a completely different approach by using a smaller needle and tube to the vial...has barely left a mark! My only criticism is it can be hard to see your assigned doctor but if they are popular I can understand that.
Since arriving here 18 months ago, I have experienced amazing professional care and attention. In addition to a thorough MOT on arrival and full integration of my past care regimen, I have been treated - during a health issue earlier this year - to unparalleled and ongoing treatment which has seen me safely through.
My gratitude and thanks go out to all at the Centre.
Phoned to try and book a slot for an appointment to look into recurring abdominal pain, but was told I could only phone back at 8.30 in the morning to try and get an appointment. As I work full-time, that would mean taking a day off work on the off-chance of getting an appointment when the phone lines open. I now have no idea how to see a GP at the clinic to assess the problem.
The receptionist had a 'bored and why are you bothering me'' tone of voice and took the opportunity to ridicule me which, admittedly I gave her since I wasn't thinking straight, but she needs further training and an ounce of charm wouldn't go amiss.
The nurse I saw today, 19th January 2017, was not very receptive when I advised that I bruise easily when I have blood taken. Previously a lovely nurse said she would use a thinner needle and I have been advised by a hospital nurse that really, there is no reason to bruise if bloods are taken correctly.
Today the nurse I saw said "you'll be all right" and carried on with her original needle. As soon as she removed the needle I knew there would be bruising. In fact I now have blood all over my pink jumper. I wish people would listen and NOT presume they know best.
