I am the daughter of Mr Leslie Smith who has been a patient of Mr Santhanam for a few years now. My father is 11 years post CVA and has Botox therapy to reduce saliva production. Mr Santhanam is welcoming and professional throughout. He is aware that speech is challenging for dad and he adjusts his communication comfortably to ensure patient centred care. He has a calm bedside manner with his patients and with junior staff who dad consents to being taught clinically within the consultations. As a nurse of 30 years, I take a lead on my dad’s medical journey and have huge professional respect for Mr Santhanam and am sure he is wonderful colleague too.
