This was my first consultation with Mr Haleem. I found him to be friendly, thorough and professional. He took his time to explain things to me in terms that I understood, and, importantly, listened to what I had to say. He viewed x-rays and scans in my presence, again, explaining what they meant to me.

I met Mr Haleem for the first time today regarding a spinal problem. He gave me a thorough examination and and carefully questioned me about the development of the problems. He explained in detail the results of mr MRI scan and showed me where the problems lay. He detailed a plan of action including new medication and will see me again in 3 months to decide the way forward. I was very impressed with his professionalism, calm manner and pleasant disposition. I look forward to seeing him again in 3 months.

I found that on a personal basis Mr Haleem was always courteous even when examining me. He had other consultants investigate both my knees and hands. I already had my right knee partially replaced. My hands are still under investigation because of the pins and needles as well as the locking in my thumbs and fingers. It is thanks to him alone that I finally had my knee done and I would consequently recommend him without hesitation to anyone. Yours sincerely Ramesh Patel.

I went to see Mr Haleem for the first time today and my appointment was on time which is a bit o a rarity these days. On entering, Mr Haleem introduced himself then proceeded to say, he didn’t want all the ‘flowery stuff’, he didn’t want to know that I was in pain (he considered that a given as I was sat with him!) he just wanted to know the basic facts as to why I was there and what I wanted from him. He sat and listened to me before talking through the fact’s as he understood them and what other issues he felt could arise with my condition, subject to what actions were taken. He took the time to show me the scans I’d had done and go through then step by step. He asked questions throughout the consultation but took the time to make sure that I understood what we were discussing. He talked about what he felt the way forward should be but checked to make sure that I was happy with his plan. In general, I felt that he was direct but compassionate. He cared that the patient had a voice and that they understood what was being said and, despite all appointments having a time limit, at no time did I feel that the appointment was being rushed. We all like to get into our appointment on time but I for one would not mind going in a little late if it meant that I had the consultation that I had with Mr Haleem.
