What can I say that others haven't already said. Mr Malek is the nicest consultant I've ever seen. He is friendly and makes you feel at ease straight away. I originally saw Mr Malek for a knee injury caused by a fall. After a small operation my knee felt better but I was still having trouble with pain. After a discussion, Mr Malek recommended a partial knee replacement. My mom watched my grandad in the early 1990's having problems with his knees and having a knee replacement which left him with a stiff leg and unable to walk, said she wouldn't have a knee replacement, even though she had severe arthritis in both knees and was in a great deal of pain. This made me determined not to go through the same as she had even though I was still worried that something would go wrong. BUT Mr Malek explained everything and I felt confident enough to trust him. I wish that everyone with knee problems could see Mr Malek, so he could work his magic on them. I have now got my life back and am pain free. MR Malek you are my hero.

I am writing this review following my partial knee replacement operation on 18th December 2023. Mr Malek was so very kind and caring, instantly putting me at ease. He visits you before your op and explains what is to be done and again how it went after. I feel he has given me my life back. The Physio team are brilliant ( the exercises are so important to your recovery) I was walking without crutches after 3 weeks and going up and down stairs, using my exercise bike and walking 2 miles easily after 4 weeks. This week I am back at the gym swimming and doing Aqua Aerobics. Thank you to Mr Malek and all the staff at Rowley Hall Hospital.

I cannot recommend Mr Malek highly enough. From first seeing him when I could hardly walk even with a stick, to the couple of hours after the operation when I was walking virtually normally albeit with a frame. The whole procedure was painless and all the team (everyone) at West Midland and Stourside Hospitals was kind, informative and infinitely patient. I was discharged the day after surgery and walking without crutches within a few days and have just been discharged with a perfectly wonderful bionic hip - that’s what my grandson calls it! Thank you so much Mr Malek and all your team. I cannot praise you highly enough.

I had both knees replaced within 3 months. There is nothing to worry about it does take a week or two to get going but the effort is really worth while. Now after 5 months I can honestly say that I am almost back to no pain at all.

Not a lot that I can say that’s not already been said Dr Sabur Malek is a fantastic surgeon and a wonderful person. He explains everything to you and listens to all your questions and concerns, I was in a lot of pain with both my hips especially with the right hip couldn’t even get dressed without help. My local clinic got me an appointment with Dr Malek and I count my self extremely lucky that I did. He put me at ease straight away. Have since had both hips done and now pain free and back doing all the things that I did before. So if you need a hip replacement and have Dr Malek in your corner grab it with both hands. Thanks again Dr Malek
