I had hip surgery at Rowley Hall and my consultant was Mr Sabur Malek, from the very first time i saw Mr Malek on my first appointment to my six month last check Mr Sabur Malek was very informative and he was very patient and made sure i understood what i would have done. I trusted him from the start and would be quite happy for Mr Sabur Malek to perform any operation i may need in the future.

Mr Malek immediately put me at ease and was a true gentleman making sure that I was comfortable and that I fully understood the results of the x-rays that I had. He took me through the x-rays so I could see what was wrong and could understand why it was necessary for me to have a replacement knee. Mr Malek is gentle and kind and shares the odd joke to make you fell relaxed and to assure you that he would not do anything that was not necessary. I underwent surgery for my right knee and within a few weeks I was fully mobile and able to walk about without any assistance. Today I had to go back for a problem with my left knee and although in the future it may need replacing he felt that an injection would be of great benefit at the moment and would get me out of the pain I was in. From someone who was very afraid at the start I now feel I can trust Mr Malek and his team to do the very best for me. If you need an excellent surgeon with great manners and fills you full of confidence then Mr Malek is your man.

As a patient of Dr Sabur Malek, I cannot recommend him enough. From my very first appointment Dr Malek showed complete and utter compassion and understanding of my knee condition. He continuously put my mind at rest answering all of my queries in great detail which reassured me no end. His professionalism, patience and expertise is first class. My surgery has gone very well and on receiving my follow up consultation, Dr Malek thoroughly explained what had happened. Feeling totally reassured and comfortable, I would highly recommend Dr Malek to anyone.

Mr Malek saw me after I had been referred by the Staffordshire MICATS service. I was having problems with my knees which had been getting progressively worse. Mr Malek explained what he could see in my Xray images and suggested a Total Knee Replacement with a Titanium 3D printed joint. From 1st referal to operation took just 2 months! The experience of having the operation was very good. I took a few days to be able to do all the discharge requirements and stuck to the instructions for Physio at home. Overall I was very pleased with the improvement in mky knee and I have now signed up to get my other knee done. I have every confidence in Mr Malek and home for an experience as good as the first knee operation.

Mr Sabur Malek.. from first meeting him made me so comfortable and at ease as he explained to me what minimum invasive surgery entailed in a total hip replacement... The day of surgery he entered my room and again I felt at ease as I was about to enter the unknown... The surgery went brilliantly and next day he visited me and explained once more what he had done to me... he is so professional in his attitude yet so relaxed you feel at ease in his company.. it is now six weeks since surgery and I feel almost fully fit and I am now back at work.. to think six weeks ago I hobbled into hospital and now... WOW... amazing..just done a 4 mile walk unaided.. Yes if you get the chance or offered Mr Sabur Malek.. grab the offer with both hands.. sure in the confidence and security of a down to earth brilliant surgeon...as a review I can surely only give top marks and I certainty without the slightest doubt would recommend this fine man...
