Mr Casey performed an prostate operation on me in August 2014 at my age of 74 years because, of the large amount of water I was retaining after going to the loo. I paid privately although I'm not a rich person because I wanted to be sure of getting Mr C. After the operation, on going to the toilet I was still left with 1200ml so, it had to be the Catheter. Which I thought I would have to be on for the rest of my life but Mr Casey gave me some hope that, this may not have to be the case, as he gave me hope that it might be possible to get the bladder muscles working again. I started to keep a record of how much I was going and how much the Catheter was taking. I was using it 4 time in 24 hrs and getting some big figures, especially in the middle of the night 600 to 1000ml through the Cat. I then started using it up to 5 times in 24hrs including a 2 to 3am use, for the next 4to5 months, by which time the figures were getting smaller. I then went down to 4 times for the next 3 months, then 2 to 3 times a day. By December 2015 I was only using the Cat and recording once a day at 11pm and found myself and the Cat were about even, then, I started to beat the Cat. Wonderful feeling only having to use it once a day. 24th January 2016 1st zero reading. (me 350ml Cat 0 ) at 11pm. Stopped day to day readings 24th May 2016. I then checked monthly until September 2016 still getting very low and zero readings. Then bi monthly, last one February 2017 Zero. Stop recording.Job done. Wonderful feeling. Thanks to our Mr Casey. All I am trying to say is don't give up hope and stick with it. Good Luck.

I was very fortunate to be referred to Mr Casey via the NHS after previous visits to the General Hosp had left me feeling embarrassed about the symptoms I had been suffering for many years. This feeling of embarrassment was soon forgotten about within a short period of meeting Mr Casey as he listened to every concern I had and spoke back to me with a caring and professional attitude. The care I have received prior to a TURP operation was excellent and at all times, I was spoken to and had things explained to me in very simple terms. I had a TURP procedure in December 2016 and the immediate after care was great. It was only when I had a few concerns with things that I relied on my local GP surgery to sort me out. Sadly they didnt and I visited Mr Casey again with my concerns. Again he had all the time in the world to sit and talk to me and reassure me that things would get better.... And indeed they did under his care. I cant thank Mr Casey enough for making me feel "normal" again. He is a very nice guy who explains every aspect of the procedures to you and totally reassures you to make you feel at ease with what can undoubtedly be an embarrassing situation for us fella's. Totally recommend him and I feel very very lucky indeed to have been placed in his care via the NHS. Also a special word of thanks to his secretary Nicola Burke who at all times would listen to any concerns raised and also was extremely helpful. Thank you all so very much.... I have my life back!!

Mr. Casey is what a doctor is supposed to be. I had terrible prostate pain beginning last February. Three month's worth of visits and treatment by the walk in center and my GP didn't help. I was referred to Mr. Casey. He methodically analyzed my situation. He did all of the tests. He explained to me in layman's terms what his step by step plan was. He executed the plan, made adjustments for what worked and what didn't work. Ultimately, based on his long experience, he utilized a somewhat obscure proceedure, and ultimately cured me. Today, thanks to Mr. Casey, I feel better than ever.

I could not have received better care from Mr. Casey. He knew from the very beginning that I was having trouble mentally coping with the scenario in which I found myself. He gave me a huge amount of time to explain what might be going on with my Prostate. At no point was I left wondering what the processes were. He was very inclusive and clearly wanted to help me make the right decisions about my care. He was exactly the 'friend' I needed to help me along the path. After we had decided to carry out a Template Biopsy of my Prostate, he explained step by step what would happen during the procedure, what symptoms I could expect afterwards and when I would receive my results. He also went through what we could do to cure my Prostate issues, depending on the results. I was fortunate because my results were clear of cancer, and he bothered to make sure I received a late night call from his secretary to give me the good news. His approach to me has also helped me relax generally about my health. That is a huge plus for me as a person. Thank you!!

When first referred to Mr Casey following a higher than expected PSA reading, I was of course anxious of what the prognosis might be. Within 30 seconds of my first meeting Mr Casey, he put me an ease and started to explain the whole process in detail that I would need to go through from the initial tests to what that could mean depending on what those tests might reveal and then future options of treatment if required. After my first set of tests came back and revealed that it was cancerous , Mr Casey again laid out in detail, but in a way that was easy to understand , the options and what I needed to consider and which I could discuss with my wife who also came with me to the appointments. His guidance on the different options in terms of what it could mean in the short and long term was extremely important in coming to the decision I made to have a radical prostatectomy. In every meeting we have had with Mr Casey he has proved a very good listener, giving both of us opportunities to ask questions and giving excellent feedback on our questions. When it came to what would happen during the surgery this was explained in a way that put us both at ease, especially when he was able to say that I should be up and about within a day (which I was). The surgery was a success and I have now had two follow up appointments to check the PSA level and how my general recovery is going and these, as always , have been very pleasant experiences. I highly recommend Mr Casey, he is an exemplary surgeon/consultant and feel lucky to have been treated by him
