I had my prostate surgery on the 12th January 2024, under the professional supervision of Mr.Rowan Casey and his excellent team. I have been back to see Mr.Casey on 6th March for the surgery results, and was delighted to hear the procedure was a success and I’m cancer free. I cannot praise Mr. Casey enough for his professional care, patience and most of all his humility in all my discussions with him, a true gentleman. He has a great team of professionals working with him, and I would also like to mention just some of them like cancer nurse Nichole, physiotherapist Ruth and the excellent staff in the Urology Outpatient Department in Tallaght Hospital. I still have more work to do on my recovery, but with the great help of all above I am confident of a successful return to normal life. I am, and always will be in debt to Mr. Casey, as I have no doubt he has given me the opportunity to continue my life journey. Tony Browne.

I had my second consultation on 18/10/23 with Mr. Rowan Casey in Urology Outpatient Clinic at Tallaght Hospital, and as the first consultation Mr. Casey was extremely patient and explained in great detail the procedure in simple layman’s terms. I’m grateful to have Mr. Casey preforming this procedure and totally trust his expertise and vast experience in this area. I won’t say I’m looking forward in having Prostate surgery, but Mr. Casey had the ability to put me at ease at this very stressful period in my life. He is thorough gentleman and makes it very easy to speak with him. I would also wish to mention the cancer nurses, namely AnnMarie and Nicole, who was also in attendance, and very reassuring regarding the aftercare. I have always found the whole staff in the Urology department very supportive and caring as a team.

Mr. Casey wasn't the Dr who I was initially referred too. So I count myself very fortunate to be in his care. My first consultation with Dr. Casey was informative, he did not rush and took the time to answer my questions. He went through in detail everything that was going to happen. He spoke to me instead of at me. At a time of uncertainty he gave me great reassurance. He is patient centric. He is a great Dr and lovely man.

Great consultant, who got me through a procedure with little or no pain, whereas my 2 previous experiences forthe same procedure were extremely painful. Also performed major surgery, 6 weeks ago which so far seems to have been 100%successful.

To put my review in context, it is based on just one visit to see Mr. Casey as a private patient. I found that Mr. Casey had the ability to put me very much at ease, as I was rather anxious while awaiting a diagnosis. He explained my test results in detail and in a way that was easy to understand. He did likewise with the treatment options, outlining the pros and cons of each medication and their potential effect on a pre-existing health condition (non-urological). I felt very comfortable asking questions and adequate time was allowed for the consultation.
