First met Mr Qasim Mansoor during the COVID 19 crisis, so things where a bit different from previous procedures. Mr Qasim Mansoor was very easy to talk to and I was happy to go ahead with the procedure. The next time I met with Mr Mansoor was on the day of the cataract surgery. Again, I was happy after speaking to him and was not at all worried. During the surgery, Mr Mansoor was very good about keeping me reassured throughout the procedure. After a couple of weeks, I met once again with Mr Mansoor. He was happy ( as was I ) that every thing was OK. I would like to say that I was treated very well, especially with COVID 19 making things difficult

My wife and I have both had cataract surgery performed by Mr Mansoor. We are both delighted with the results. As well as being a highly skilled ophthalmic surgeon, Mr Mansoor is also a good communicator, providing clear explanations of the procedure, in a pleasant manner. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone requiring ophthalmic treatment.

I was terrified of the cataract operation, as I had bad memories of having fainted after having an eye lasered some years earlier. I met Mr Mansoor at the Nuffield for my first cataract operation. Mr Mansoor was able to connect on a personal level and to instil confidence, he calmed my nerves and talked me through what would happen. I was amazed when the operation was completed so quickly. The result of the first operation was 20:20 vision. For the second operation, because I had laser treatment some years ago, I was referred to the James Cook Hospital as the measurements required are a bit more tricky. Mr Mansoor explained that he could not guarantee 20:20 vision this time, but would try his best. I saw Mr Mansoor at James Cook and again the operation went well resulting in 20:20 vision. It is amazing having the sepia blinds of cataracts removed and I cannot thank Mr Mansoor enough for my new eye glass free vision.

Mr Mansoor worked with me by organizing cataract surgery as quickly as he could. All my questions were answered honestly and in detail. For the first time ever I did not have any problems post surgery. The final result is great so well done Sir.

Cannot praise Mr Mansoor enough. Easy to speak with, very kind and understanding, explains everything, at all times, even in theatre. Very skilled, and thorough in his preparation of the operations. Initially referred by my optician end of April,2019, after four months and several appts NHS , and never even seeing the consultant, and travelling to Bishop Auckland hospital, (as was supposed to be shortest waiting list) was eventually told late August that the waiting list there was 930.which was when I decided to go private. Within two weeks I had seen Mr Mansoor, and had my first cataract done, three weeks later I had the second eye done, with a varilux type lens, at my request. After a lifetime ( I am now 79) of poor vision and wearing spectacles with a very, very strong prescription, a whole new world has opened up for me, great long vision, very good short vision, colours so much brighter, all now with no spectacles even to read. My brother in law recommended Mr Mansoor, and though he had his done on NHS several years ago, said how good a surgeon he had been and also found him as pleasant and efficient as we did privately. Mr Mansoor is an excellent surgeon, and a really nice, kind, caring and very approachable proffesional man, so glad I went to him. Many thanks to him....Mr M.J. Karlsson. PS, sorry for delay in posting this review, been having computer problems.
