I feel my family member wasn't give the care dignity and respect i would of expected and that she received at another hospital. I felt information wasn't forthcoming and that her treatment was unduly delayed making her feel desperately confused and frightened. I feel that she should of not been allowed to deteriorate to such a level before treatment was given.
Breast cancer services without enough breast care specialist nurses.
No "face to face" appointments, dept prefers phone calls and LEAFLETS.
A leaflet is a sign your time is up, it's simply not enough.
You are meant to feel that there is a need to move on speedily. Your treatment is target driven so holding up process with questions is not endorsed by staff who are already overwhelmed.
Why not involve volunteers who have been through the process themselves and can explain to patients in a more detailed and timely manner to reassure women. The consultants are predominately male and are unable to ultimately understand concerns of women.
My son was given excellent care throughout his stay. The staff were brilliant
From intensive care, into the high dependency unit then to the general ward the staff were excellent. Caring, thoughtful and thoroughly professional. A special mention to the student "nurses" who got through a lot of work on the ward.
Food was varied & good, always delivered with a smile!
My experience of James Cook Hospital is very positive
Great care and professional staffing
Taken on with Subdural haematoma care was excellent and fast and well just good could not be faulted
I was treated kindly and expertly. Staff were reassuring and warm during my surgery and kept my family informed in a timely manner.
Superb Hospital with Professional, caring, friendly Surgeons, Doctors ,nurses, and Staff.Thank you
Unfortunatly through my younger years i have had many dealings with a number of hospitals both in the Tees Valley and further afield. I have to admit that James Cook has always been my favourite hospital to use. I have had Two major surgeries their (facial reconstruction and Cornea transplant) and have always been treated with the utmost repect and courtesy by all staff. The hospital always looks clean and tidy and the staff work as hard as humanly possible for the patients.
