I would recommend Mr Chitsabesan unreservedly. He clearly described and explained the options available to me at my initial consultation. On the day, my operation experience was excellent : Mr Chitsabesan and his team made me feel confident about the preparation, the actual procedure and the expected outcome(s). Immediate aftercare was meticulous and thoughtful. My final check-up with Mr Chitsabesan confirmed that my confidence in him is well-founded with a couple of minor remaining issues addressed helpfully.

Mr Chitsabesan gets the strongest possible recommendation from this patient. He is everything you hope a consultant will be/have, from his warm, reassuring and attentive bedside manner and extremely clear communication, to his expertise in his fields. He listens carefully, and is extremely thorough in investigating and ruling out possible diagnoses.

Mr Chitsabesan is great. He explains everything at a level that is easy to understand. During the procedure he talked me through every step and ad used when I might suffer some discomfort. Going through the results was easy, no issue but plenty of advice to help with things. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

I wish to place on record my heartfelt thanks to Mr Chitsabesan and his incredible team who on the 08.04.25 carried out emergency surgery to save my life, even though I have terminal cancer. Having first sought permission from management and spoken to my family, Mr Chitsabesan carried out the operation with skill and dedication which led to a successful outcome having been able to straighten my twisted bowel. Once again, my sincere gratitude and thanks to him and the team.

Pre surgery he explained everything. The surgery took longer than he expected 5.5 hours and after he came round every day explained what he had done and I had total confidence in everything he said. He made me feel at ease and at my review 8 weeks later he advised how to look after myself going forward. I feel very appreciative of how I was treated in hospital and the care I received by Mr Chitsabesan

Mr Chitsabesan was the main surgeon on an 8 1/2 hour robotic assisted right hemicolectomy (pT3 pN0 V1 L0 R0 MMR positive cancer) in my ascending colon, which included the removal of 41 lymph nodes, appendix and re-sectioning the bowel along with a right Adrenalectomy led by another Team (Mr Blake James). Having met with Mr Chitsabesan both before and after this successful surgery, he provided a reassuringly friendly and professional face to this complicated procedure. The technology and professionalism involved undoubtably led to my speedy recovery and rapid discharge from the hospital less than 4 days later. Whilst I'm happy not to have a comparative experience with which to base a judgement on - I can't fault his work!

I have been under Mr Chitsabesan's care since being diagnosed with a growth on my appendix, as well as a second abdominal cyst, in 2023. At the time I was very impressed by his approach. He was able, in a very short time, to establish a relationship with me where I felt confident in him and his clinical assessments. A significant contributor to this was that I felt he had a personal interest in me and my wellbeing. I was mot just a 'clinical problem to be resolved'! This year I had a check-in call with Mt Chitsabesan, monitoring how things are going for me. In his career he must encounter thousands of patients, yet he immediately reconnected over the phone. I have come across many excellent clinicians, both as a patient and in my career as an executive coach. I am aware that successful outcomes are more likely when the consultant combines both clinical excellence and an understanding of how to manage the psychological aspects of the relationship.
