Mr. Sauve operated on my broken right wrist and inserted a plate with great skill and judgement on 22nd September 2021. He is a caring professional and a remarkable surgeon and I am so grateful to have been placed in his care. I was delighted to find that Mr. Sauve was so approachable and a very good listener. Thank you Mr. Sauve, anaesthetist Mr. Dunbar, his colleague (I cannot remember her name) and all the team of friendly but professional colleagues who answered my questions and put me at ease and looked after me so well. My wrist has healed very well. At my last appointment, Mr. Sauve showed me how to do exercises to improve movement in my wrist. I highly recommend Mr. Sauve, a brilliant surgeon with a caring nature. Thank you everyone at Queen Alexandra Hospital for all the COVID-19 precautions in place which made me feel safe.

My consultation with Phil Sauve was excellent - he totally listened to my issues and concerns - summarised the situation and gave a detailed medical explanation of the problem - we discussed all the options available and agreed a plan and next steps . I felt totally satisfied and reassured- would certainly recommend him .

After badly breaking my wrist playing badminton in March 2019 resulting in a comminuted displaced fracture of distal radius and ulna right, I can honestly say from the outset the treatment I have received from Mr Sauve and his team at the QA over the last year and a half has been brilliant. From having surgery to fit a plate to all the ongoing appointments and treatments from him and also from the excellent hand therapist (Cathy) and physio (Rachel.) Mr Sauve has always been so easy to talk to and has always had the time to listen to my worries and concerns regarding the best course of treatment. From not being able to use my wrist and hand in the beginning it is 100% better than I thought it would ever be again and being my right hand was a major concern for me. I still have slightly bent fingers and not quite full movement in my wrist but can do most things now and at my recent appointment he said hopefully things will continue to improve even more over time. I can therefore thoroughly recommend Mr Sauve.

I broke my wrist in early December 2018 and had 2 manipulations by A& E to try and put the wrist back into the correct position. Unfortunately this failed and 3 weeks later after seeing another consultant was informed that I needed a plate inserted to make the wrist stable.Mr Sauve was in the hospital operating on other patients and agreed to add me to the end of his list for that day. I can only say the gods were looking down on me. Not only is he He is a brilliant surgeon, with an great bedside manner he explained everything thoroughly what he intended to do which made me feel completely at ease with the surgery. After surgery and at follow up appointments he is always approachable and explains whatever questions I have asked. Many thanks for your patience and care it was exemplary.
