Mr Ursell was excellent - I am so pleased that I was referred to him. The period of time between initial referral and my operation was very short. Mr Ursell explained the procedure, and did a range of pre-operative tests. Despite Covid I felt secure in hospital because everyone took great care. I was provided with a comprehensive information pack which took me through the whole medical journey, and answered many of my questions so I felt well informed as to the medical procedure and likely path to recovery.
Next day vision in the operated eye was cloudy as Mr Ursell had predicted it might be but had cleared by evening. I was able to drive confidently by the third day. Vision is now so clear in the eye and I have almost forgotten it was ever otherwise!

I would like to say my experience with Mr. Paul Ursell was of the highest standard of care I have great confidence in him as one of the best.

Mr Paul Ursell explained the cataract procedure very thoroughly before and during the operation. It was totally painless and took a very short time. I had full confidence in him and I have recovered well. I can’t recommend him more highly.

Paul Ursell was friendly approachable and patient. I felt quite safe and very relaxed. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends (and clients) who were considering cataract surgery. I cannot think of anything to add that could improve the care he provided.

He has devoted his professional career to improving cataract surgery to make it safer and easier for patients. He has personally performed over 10,000 cataract operations in a career spanning 25 years.
