I was seen by Mr Pathmanaban regarding back pain which he solved for me. Would definitely recommend him and would go back to him if need be.

I had recently moved from N Wales back to he Manchester area but unfortunately had to register with a new doctor in Marple, then in Hyde due to a house purchase falling through twice whilst staying with a relative. In February 2018 I attended my new doctor with memory problems, then referred to the memory clinic in Offerton, Stockport. Thereafter referred to Stepping Hill hospital, Stockport for an MRI scan on 19th. April 2018 which confirmed a large brain tumour - meningioma. Contacted thereafter by Salford Royal hospital. Because I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses I wanted my operation without recourse to a blood transfusion. I can only add that the neuro team under Mr Pathbanaman were superb, my wishes regarding blood products were respected professionally which required great skill on their part and the use of a blood cell-salvage machine. We had booked a cruise in the med which had to be cancelled as I was now in hospital having brain surgery. No refund from TUI for the cancelled cruise but my wife was refunded for her cancellation ??? Holiday insurer AXA fought me all the way to the ombudsman. Thanks Omar and team, Kenny Yu (registrar), James and Alex Leggate (father & son surgeons) and Dr Frazer O'Brien.

I had my first appointment with Mr Pathmanaban on 27/2/19 and on the 17/3/19 he perfomed skull base surgery on a menigioma I had. From my very first meeting he was so informative and caring and he put me at ease all the way through. He was really good with my husband also by reassuring him that everything will be ok and he answered any questions honestly that he had. He was there when I woke in recovery and he came to see me every day whilst I was in hospital. I owe him a lot as without him performing this surgery I wouldn't be able to see. The tumour was causing be to loose the sight in my left eye (virtually blind in it) after my op my sight has come back to normal. He found another tumour in on my brain and if and when the time comes there is only one person who will be removing it and it is MR Pathmanaban

I have recently had endoscopic skull base surgery to remove a meningioma. Mr pathmanaban and staff were very professional and caring at Salford royal.. The skull base team were easy to talk to and provided me with back up for any questions or problems that I had. The operation went well and luckily no complications. I am grateful to the team and the NHS that this procedure was available to me
