Mr Swinn was brilliant. He showed me the results of my scans and gave very thorough explanations of the results. He was also friendly, professional and caring.

Mr Swinn was fine and factual. I do not know if he was successful. Part of the reason I don't know is that the communication with his assistant after the operation (when I'd paid) was dreadful, and at least one thing I was told about access to a test locally changed. I booked with Mr Swinn on the basis of reviews, so I feel duty bound to review. I'd probably go elsewhere now.

BUPA referred me to Mr Swinn when they would not cover the costs of the Surgeon who did my biopsy. I'm so glad they did. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He took time to explain the situation, the options available and his recommendations. That was in October 2008. I have been in his care since then and was finally discharged in October 2015. I would have not hesitation recommending him in the unfortunate event that you need his services.

I was referred to Mr Michael Swinn at East Surrey Hospital for a prostate opinion by my GP practice when my PSA levels began to rise at a rate not compatible with normality. I found him and his team welcoming, professional, keen to listen and to discuss my case in an interactive fashion. His explanations were extremely clear and any questions were answered in full with no feeling of being rushed. Subsequent decision to carry out MRI and template needle biopsy (the last at the excellent Crawley Day centre) proved worthwhile as they confirmed early stage prostatic cancer. In a further meeting with Mr Swinn, the clinical data and my several treatment options along with their possible complications were clearly explained. The team's approach allowed me to make informed decisions as to the best possible treatment, which for me turned out to be brachytherapy (to be later carried out at Royal Surrey County Hospital). I have every confidence that this Doctor/team and his close associates Dr J Money-Kyrle and Prof. S Langley have a winning partnership in providing the greatest care and best possible treatment options for those suffering prostatic cancer.
