I was first referred to Mr Norton back in 2005 and what a breath of fresh air he was, he listened to me without making up his mind to quickly as had another surgeon that I had seen before him. When he had to examine me he made sure I was comfortable with the examination at all times and when it was finished he gave me time to get dressed again before he left the room unlike the other surgeon. He has always done his best for me going above and beyond what the other surgeons had done, and even when he didn't know how to help me he was honest enough to tell me that, and he didn't make me feel like it was all in my head as had happened to me before. From my parents perspective. I have always found Mr. Norton to be friendly and approachable willing to explain things in layman's terms. I also appreciate his down to earth attitude. and his honesty. His care and attention not only to his patient but the family too, knowing that they suffer seeing in our case our daughter going through operations and being in pain and how this affects her both physically and emotionally. Others in the medical profession could learn from him how to treat both the patient and family.

Through out the hip replacement process Mr Mark Norton has provided clear, concise and easy-to-follow advice and guidance. Because of this I was well prepared for my procedure, fully apprised of the procedure results immediately post op and in this follow-up appointment I was given the appropriate direction for my further recovery. I am delighted with the care that I have received to date.

I found Mr Norton to be very down to earth and he explained my procedure in simple terms that I could understand and he also showed me the new hip replacement pieces which he would be inserting. I had every confidence in Mark right from our first meeting . On the day of my operation he met with me to ask if I had any questions and he was very reassuring and had a calming influence. At my six week post op assessment I was shown an x ray of my new hip and everything had fitted in well and gone according to plan. I'm now waiting for my second hip to be replaced and I have every confidence that it will go as well as the first. A plus was that ALL the staff at the hospital were friendly and helpful.

Mr Norton has always listened and given very good advice. He is very patient and explained everything before and after my hip operation. He did my hip replacement with a great outcome. I feel it was a total success, I am now pain free and feel like a different person. I always feel I can speak to him without any problems and it has never been a problem to get an appointment to see him. I will have to have my other hip replaced at some point in the future I hope mr Norton is still available to do it as this is the surgeon who I want to do it
