On December 11th 2017 Mr Teo did a translabyrinthe operation to remove a slow growing benign 3.6 cm brain tumour ....when I went to my first consultation I was met by Mr Clamp and Mr Teo...from first being diagnosed i was told and explained what was going to happen and was told the operation would be 8-10 hours from start to finish and all the complications and how i would be after operation ...the few questions i had were explained in great detail ...all in it took 13 weeks from first diagnosis to the operation.....on the day yet again we went thro the operation and what they would do...i went into theatre not afraid and relaxed..... I had an awkward tumour but Mr Teo spent a longer time cos he wanted to save my facial nerve so I wasn't permantly parylised on my rite side of my face he wanted to preserve it so he spent longer and just stretched it so all I had was temporary palsy ..when the operation was finished he personally phoned my family and reassured them I was ok and it went well with no complications and what he did...even after operation he came in everyday and even took time to speak to my mum and family while I was on the wards ....Mr Teo is an exceptionally caring and skilled surgeon ...there are no words that myself or family can use for how grateful we all are...except ..Thank you , although these don't seem enough ...

Mario Teo treated me for a DAVF in November 2017 after initial diagnose in March of that year. Mr Teo was extremely knowledgeable about the condition and was confident the treatment would be a success. He clearly explained the operation and risks which helped put both me at my partner at ease. The operation lasted about 6 hours and was a success with the fistula being completely removed. Mr Teo is a talented surgeon and I would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone else in a similar position.

In September 2017 Mr Teo carryout cerebral surgery to clip two communicating artery aneurysm . I have a strong family history of cerebral aneurysm and following the recent death of my twin sister I was urgently referred to the neurosurgery team. Mr Teo treated me with compassion throughout a very difficult time always making sure to allow plenty of time to explain the operation and risks involved. He and his team of advanced neurovascular nurse practitioners inspired me with confidence and put me at ease. The surgery was complicated, a delicate procedure to minimise the serious risk of a severe stroke. Throughout my stay in hospital Mr Teo visited me on the ward to check on my recovery and I am now at home back to my usual self. My family and I will always be grateful to Mr Teo and his team. He is a remarkable skilled surgeon and I am delighted to act as a patient advocate to advise and share my experience with future patients.

Dr Teo operated on a 3cm meningioma which was situated in a really awkward spot, by my vestibular nerves and nerves running into my face. I understand that it since it was a really delicate procedure, many surgeons would not have performed it. We had confidence in Dr Teo from the start. He was very calm and carefully explained the operation and the risks. I felt positive going into the operation because he and his team put me at ease. Dr Teo spent 12 hours in surgery. I can't imagine the skill, precision and thoughtful planning that would have had to have been used during my operation. One side of my face paralysed after the operation, but Dr Teo regularly came back to check that it was gradually healing, as he knew he hadn't damaged the nerves (again, how he managed this, I don't know!). Both myself and my family were overwhelmed by Dr Teo's care. He rang my husband personally after the operation. As Dr Teo was leaving the building after my op, he bumped into my husband. He took the time to walk back with my husband to take him to my bedside. Dr Teo is not only an incredibly skilled surgeon, but an amazing human being. We will be forever grateful for his care and courage. A rare find.
