Mr Sood has carried out many procedures on me over the last 18 years . I initially saw him after my finger had been severed in a door . My fingertip could not be saved but under his care surgery and after care plan you would not notice . Since then I have had numerous cosmetic procedures carried out …. Two Breast augmentation, eye bag removal, two facelifts … the last one being 5 weeks ago .. He also carried out a neck lift and fat transfer at the same time … I was in and out after one night and was fully recovered after 3 weeks . The fact he is a micro surgeon is a testament to his skill …as my scars are barely visible. On all procedures he explained everything to me and is very conservative about what he deems as necessary…. Both of my breast augmentation suit my body size and my face looks very natural and fresh looking as opposed to have looking like I have had extensive work done . He is very understated about his work and to be honest I would not use any other surgeon … he is calm ,quite direct and very honest about results. His secretary’s are also very helpful and will always manage to get a message to him if you have any concerns before or after any procedures. My experience at the Spire in Brentwood was also excellent…very kind compassionate nursing …especially the night nurse Helen who checked up on me all night as I was slightly out of it but it was due to the anaesthesia.. I have sent many of my friends to have procedures done by Mr Sood who have all had an equally positive experience and they have seen the real life results by looking at me . A brilliant surgeon who I can’t recommend highly enough .

Mr Sood performed Dupuytren’s Fasciectomy on my right hand (palm and finger including a skin graft which was taken from the right hip) in January 2022. This was then followed up with the same procedure on the left hand (no skin graft necessary)in January 2023. Both experiences were straight forward and I was made fully aware of what would be involved regarding the surgery and aftercare. The first procedure on my right hand, which was the worst of the two, involved wearing a cast for 7 days post surgery followed up with a lighter dressing and a night brace which had to be worn for six months. The aftercare involved physiotherapy which included stretching and making a fist. This was to be repeated numerous times hourly along with massaging the wound using cream to start and then bio oil which was my preference. By following this care strategy I was able to ensure the best outcome with very little scarring and full movement of my hand. I was able to discard the night brace after 6 months. The second procedure was not as extensive as no skin graft was necessary. The cast was removed after 48hrs to be replaced with a light dressing. I found I was able to use my hand as normal but with care as there were still dissolvable stitches to contend with. The night brace made a reappearance, which I’m hoping won’t be necessary for the full six months as I already have a full range of movement and am conscious of performing the exercises needed for the best results. Once again massaging cream has become second nature. I would recommend this procedure to anyone suffering the same problem as the alternative may mean restrictive use of hands in future life. Mr Sood was very professional and explained everything in detail along with what would be involved whilst being reassuring. Be under no illusion, this can be a procedure with lengthy and involved aftercare and requires time and dedication to give the best results possible, but so worth it.

Mr Sood gave an amazing level of care and attention to my teenage son who was having a lump removed from the base of his neck. From our first appointment thru to the procedure and post-op checks he was informative, concise and so reassuring to us both!

I had a lump on the left hand side of my nose which, after consultation and a biopsy by a dermatology doctor at Spire Hartswood, turned out to be a form of skin cancer. I never dreamed it would be that to be honest but didn't actually know what I thought it was. After my diagnosis, the doctor referred me to Mr Sood as she felt it would need to be removed. From my initial consultation, I felt at ease and very comfortable with Mr Sood and I trusted him 100% even though I'd only just met him. He explained in detail what the procedure entailed and also, the after care including the pros and cons after the operation ie how he would take a skin graft from my shoulder and place it on my face, what my face may look like etc. I remember asking him, "Does it really need to be removed" to which he said, "Yes. I remove it, its done and you get on with your life". Perfect answer!! Luckily, with this type of skin cancer there would be no chemo or radiotherapy. He was very thorough in his explanations of the procedure, including the anaesthetic, and I was booked in for 23rd November 2022. I can honestly say I wasn't nervous at all. Mr Sood definitely put me at ease from day one. Spire Hartswood is an amazing place and so are the staff - very attentative, knowledgeable and friendly. I saw so many members of staff that morning it was incredible. From the outset, I was adamant that I was going to be sedated however, on the morning of the operation after speaking with the aneathetist, I changed my mind as we spoke about a GA. This made me a little unsettled. Mr Sood came to see me pretty much straight after the aneathetist visited and I told him my concerns and again, he put my mind at ease straight away. He said due to the delicate nature of the operation, a GA would be preferable but it was up to me. I did have a GA and just simply spoke with the aneathetist in the operating theatre. Job done! The next I remember is waking up in recovery with a wonderful, cheerful Sister at my bedside. My procedure was over! I remained at Hartswood for a few hours but as I felt OK, was soon discharged home. The after care I have received from Mr Sood and the team at Hartswood has been amazing. I have seen Mr Sood, and the nursing staff, quite a few times as he has been checking on the progress of my procedure. My last visit was on 11th January 2023 and thankfully, he is really pleased with how my face is progressing. He is hoping to discharge me in May 2023. At first, I was a little concerned as the skin cancer was on my face and it took a while to come to terms with that. When the dressing first came off, I was a little nervous as it was my "comfort blanket" and I was worried about how it would look and how other people would stare but my initial dressing was so huge, people stared anyway. My face is healing really nicely and in time, no one will ever notice it. I honestly, don't even worry about it now. Mr Sood is fab and I highly recommend him. If you have any doubts about the procedure, please don't. He is brilliant and a very clever surgeon.
