I first met Manaf Khatib at a consultation in August after being referred by Plastic's at Luton & Dunstable due to my skin cancer diagnosis. He reviewed my lesions and told me options that could be taken, both involved radiotherapy and surgery, in different sequences. I asked what the best option was for myself, he clearly recommended surgery followed by radiotherapy and gave me confidence straight away. When I arrived for my surgery in September, he came to talk to me before I was prepared for surgery and again laid out clearly what the team was going to carry out during the surgery. This again gave me confidence and reassured me before the surgery which had been explained as complex. After surgery and whilst in recovery Manaf visited me and told me that everything had gone well. Again this reassured me. I had many other visits to surgery during my stay at Lister and he always talked through what each visit would entail. I always felt informed and understood what was going to be done to me. During my stay I had bad and good news to be conveyed to myself. Manaf made sure he personally delivered these messages, the fact he was willing to do this earned my deepest respect. In summary, Manaf Khatib is an amazing surgeon, a great communicator and anybody who is going to be cared for by him, will be in for a wonderful experience. As that is what I fully experienced.

Mr Manaf Khatib is my hero. Throughout my surgeries he has been fantastic, I cannot praise him high enough. He is so thoughtful and caring. He always explains everything clearly and gives me such confidence. I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

Completely put me at ease in what would have been a trepidatious situation usually. Very knowledgeable, I received clear explanation (drawing included!) with speedy referral, treatment and follow up. I could not fault the service received, thank you so much!

He was understanding and made me feel at ease and explained what would happen and the outcome, plus he was reassuring about the operation I would have . After my operation and I saw him for my check up, again he was so clear that I would be fine and if I had any Problems again, should contact my doctor and make arrangements to come back and see him.
