After a beautiful 20 hour labour for a breech baby unfortunately due to an serious issue that around during labour, we had to go through for an emergency c-section. Mr Sampat and his team were incredible. Their professionalism in light of the emergency situation that arose was profound. They kept their composure, as well as their empathy. Every step of the procedure was explained to me in details despite the necessary rush. My consent was requested for every single stage and I felt very well informed of everything that was happening. In these situations it is easy for the birthing mother to become panicked but Mr Sampat and his team of wonderful professionals were reassuring and caring at every stage of the procedure. I felt very safe and very cared for and I knew my baby's life was in the best care. Once my daughter was born he and his team explained everything that was happening to my baby whilst I was still being taken care of. This made me feel reassured and connected to my baby before I'd seen her. I am so grateful and lucky that he and his team were the ones that delivered my child. I am grateful every day.

Mr Sampat provided amazing care for my planned c section. Both himself and his team were amazing, they were both professional and understanding, and made both me and my partner feel at ease throughout. The whole team were very engaging, they talked us through the steps as the c section was being carried out. During my appointments with Mr Sampat, he was happy to answer my questions, and he provided me with lots of information. He provided me with a list of medications that I was unable to take; and these were kept in my notes so that everyone was aware what I couldn’t take. I highly recommend Mr Sampat, I couldn’t fault his work. My recovery has been a breeze and my scar is healing nicely. If I have more children in the future (although 2 is enough for me! ) then I will definitely be going to Mr Sampat.

I had my second c section by Mr Sampat 2 weeks ago, I met him at 36 weeks pregnant where he sat down and listened to my concerns and helped me come to a decision on how to deliver my baby. The day came where I was booked in for my c section and even though I was very nervous I felt at ease as I had already met with Mr Sampat and knew I was in safe hands. The whole procedure felt very relaxed and my son was brought into this world in the most lovely environment. I am very thankful to Mr Sampat and the team he had that day who all made me feel safe and reassured the whole time. Thank you again! :)

Dr Sampat provided exceptional care from my first meeting with him and throughout my pregnancy. I have a genetic heart condition which meant that there was a possibility I would have to give birth at Barts Heart Centre, London as I am under their care for the condition. I had expressed to Dr Sampat when we first met of my preference to give birth at Darent Valley Hospital as logistically it was closer to home. Dr Sampat, liaising with the heart specialists at UCL and Barts, ensured that this was possible, as well as making me feel comfortable that I would be in safe hands and provided great care. I felt reassured throughout my pregnancy and during birth, that Dr Sampat ensured that my heart condition was managed appropriately, including ensuring that the correct equipment was available and even going as far as reviewing and discussing research with me on my heart condition and pregnancy. I regularly met with Dr Sampat to discuss my condition and any concerns I had. Dr Sampat was always friendly and welcoming, whether on the phone or in person. He would always remember all my details, condition, how I had been feeling and anything we had discussed previously. He made me feel at ease and always ensured that I felt comfortable with everything we discussed, and all decisions made. Dr Sampat really went over and beyond. I cannot thank Dr Sampat enough for his superb care, I wish him all the best and would be extremely happy to be under his care in the future for any further pregnancies.
