Mr Sampat was really informative throughout. Following my diagnosis, I became quite nervous about the birth, but Mr Sampat was great at explaining everything and made me feel as though I was being listened to. I particularly appreciated how he came round to see me on the day of delivery.

I birthed my healthy baby daughter on 19th December 2023 at 38 weeks & 6 days. I cannot thank Dr Sampat enough from the care I received during my pregnancy to the delivery of my baby. Dr Sampat is so patient, kind, caring and his knowledge & explanation is impeccable. Nothing was ever too much, he is super reassuring & he was very thorough during the entire process & liaised amazingly with St Thomas hospital, due to my heart condition. Even though I didn’t have my first C-section performed by Dr Sampat, I wish I did! This is my second C-section I am pp 5 days & the entire experience has been different & I feel so well within myself unlike the first C-section & that is all down to Dr Sampat. If I decide to have more children I will 100% make sure I have Dr Sampat as my consultant. Even though for now we have parted ways, Dr Sampat still wants to know the end result of my heart surgery, he is the only consultant I have had who has gone above & beyond! I cannot recommend him enough, he is truly amazing! Thank you from The Borg Family x

Dr Sampat delivered my baby in July and I simply cannot recommend him enough. From the first meeting he was kind, caring and compassionate and this continued whilst under his care. He answered all of my questions and made me feel validated and supported. On the day of my c section he put me at ease and was simply fantastic. His team were too. After the traumatic birth of my first child Dr Sampat has restored my faith in the NHS. If I have another baby I want to be under his care again. I cannot thank Drs Sampat enough.

Mr Sampat is the most incredible consultant. He delivered my baby boy who sadly couldn't be in this world with us and he saw the heartache we went though. Lucky for us we fell pregnant again 2 years later and had Mr Sampat as our consultant the whole way through he is the most kind man I have ever met and to be looked after by him and his team so well I will be forever thankful. He delivered our baby girl in July and has seen us go the whole circle with the loss of our baby boy to the birth of our baby girl and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else looking after us. So thank you Mr Sampat for all you have done for us we will be eternally grateful to you.

Mr Karan Sampat performed both my caesarian sections. The first was three years ago. At the time during the pandemic and in a time of uncertainty, he was exactly the sort of person you wanted in-charge of bringing your baby into the world. The operation was made to look so simple, the process was smooth and I recovered extremely quickly. When I was pregnant for the second time, I not only decided to request a caesarian again but asked specifically for Mr Sampat. I was pleased I did this for once again, Mr Sampat put me and my husband at ease, was friendly and approachable and gave us another wonderful relaxed birth experience. The operating theatre was such a calm and -if such a phrase is possible- enjoyable place to be. My recovery has been phenomenal and I put all of that down to his expertise and talent. I have had follow up phone conversations with Mr Sampat to check my recovery and as before, it’s been seamless. I feel fortunate to have had both my children in such a smooth way and carried out by an extremely talented professional.
