Mr Jonathan Pollock

Mr Pollock has been amazing from start to finish. I had a craniotomy procedure which has cured my trigemenal neuralgia. He visited me every day in hospital and explained thoroughly what he had been able to do and has shown care and empathy all the way through. He has completely taken away my pain and I am able to carry on as normal now. Thank you Mr Pollock, I will be forever grateful.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to neurosurgeon Mr. Jonathan Pollock for his incredibly professional work. I underwent two complex surgeries: the placement of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt and the removal of a large meningioma (46 mm) in my brain. From my initial appointment with Mr Pollock, I knew if I wanted anyone operating on my brain then it would be someone like him. His calm nature was extremely reassuring and he was very thorough in explaining the procedure and potential risks and side effects. Mr Pollock was patient in answering all my questions and his knowledge and experience put me at ease. 11 months on from the surgery, I have made a remarkable recovery with no side effects from the surgery. A brilliant person and surgeon. , Mr Pollock was very reassuring but also honest and frank something me and my wife appreciated very much. From start to finish he was very thorough. Very thorough and straight to the point

I had hemifacial spasm that had been treated with botox ingestions, which never worked properly. Mr Pollock was very straightforward. He explained all side effects and risks associated having surgery. Looking at my MRI he also told me why he thought it would be beneficial for me to have surgery. Therefore when I had surgery I was well informed and confident. Everything went very well and I have regained my normal life. However, because of the strikes and my own family problem, organising and reorganising surgery weren’t straightforward. His secretary, Raluca’s prompt responses eased the situation very much. I’m very grateful for Mr Pollock and Raluca.

Three weeks ago I had a craniotomy to remove a sphenoid orbital brain tumour with Mr.Pollock as the lead neurosurgeon. I was in surgery for an extremely long time and was carefully put under anesthesia with the breathing tube being put in while I was still awake as it was the safest way to proceed. When I came round from my surgery Mr.Pollock said it had been very successful and the whole tumour had been removed. I have had a fairly good recovery so far and didn’t need to stay in hospital that long before I was discharged home with family care. Three weeks on I’m still recovering well and have my follow up appointment with Mr.Pollock next month then I will have more MRIs. I highly recommend Mr.Pollock as a brilliant neurosurgeon and the neurosurgery team at Queens hospital and the recovery nurses and occupational therapists etc, the care was excellent all round.
