I saw Mr Ofuasia after being admitted to hospital in intense pain that my GP was struggling to control via community care. Right from the beginning his demeanour was rude and totally disinterested. Not once did he even ask where my pain was or how it was affecting my life. He clearly had his own routine of transvaginal ultrasound, follow up consultation and then going on the waiting list for a laparoscopy which he wasn't prepared to change, despite my having had a transvaginal ultrasound 2 weeks before whilst in hospital as an emergency case. He'd rather I waited an extra 4 months in agony than listen to what I had to say. We continued to lock horns during the appointment with him continuing to not listen to my wishes as the patient and only wanting to do things his way. Subsequently, I ended up in tears and complaining to the manager. I was then given a new consultant who wasn't much better, in fact all 3 I've encountered there have been rude, condescending, and disinterested. Would not recommend Croydon University Hospital at all for Endometriosis.

I have seen him for many years for my endometriosis and adenomyosis. After having no support or empathy from other clinicians previously I can confidently say that I could not have led a normal life otherwise.

I have been so unlucky to have Mr Ofuasia as my doctor at Croydon hospital/gynaecology department. Since the first appointment, I didn't like his attitude, he didn't show any interest, no compassion, I felt like he was rushing and couldn't care less, I asked him about some specific results and I could see he hadn't even read my results on the day of my appointment. I will be cancelling all my future appointments with him.

I had pelvic pain and was given a laparoscopy. I was told that nothing was found during the laparoscopy even though the pain continued after the operation. I was told by Mr Ofuasia to give it more time but it continued to get worse and I was told that everything was okay. I went to see a different gynaecologist to get a second opinion and she looked at the photographs he had taken during my laparoscopy and saw that there was endometriosis. I don't understand how someone who is supposed to specialise in endometriosis can ignore this and not remove it. I then had to have a second surgery with a new gynaecologist and she spent 2 hours removing the endometriosis. I felt completely dismissed and like I was making up the pain because of the this but I am glad I got a second opinion as you know your body the best.
