Mr Hartwright is very professional but at the same time very personable and approachable. He listens and gives advice and encouragement at your own level which is very reassuring. The care and treatment; and follow up care I have received from Mr Hartwright and the whole NHS Team has been outstanding.

So from the moment I met David he made me feel at ease and genuinely sympathised with my injury . At the time he did not have my MRI results but listened to what I had done and what information I had been given about results. He then spent time drawing pictures of what the damage could be , what the procedure would involve and the recovery period . The operation came round swiftly and David popped into see me before the procedure putting me at ease. After the procedure David came to see me and explained what he had found. The damage was worse than what he was hoping and he had to remove some of my Cartilage ( explaining that I had an irreducible bucket handle tear that was beyond repair ). It was explained to me what the recovery period would be and the effect it would have in the future. Today I went back to see David after six weeks and again he was welcoming and friendly . He was knowledgable about what he had done and why he had performed the procedure instead of repairing it. He took his time to explain and respond to my questions ( I had lots) , he drew pictures of how the procedure had been done and why it could not be repaired. Then the great bit was seeing inside my knee and explaining all the bits inside my knee ( the pics taken) I never felt rushed , I was reassured and felt that should I have any concerns I could call back . I would fully recommend David as you would be in capable hands. Thankyou

From the first moment I went for my consultation for a hip replacement David Hartwright was extremely professional in his approach. I felt very confident in what was explained, and what was going to happen when the operation would take place. On the day I had the operation it was all very relaxed and laid back and I had full trust in David and his team to carry out the operation. David came into visit me on two or three occasions after the operation to check everything was going ok? After 6 weeks we had another consultation and everything had gone well and he fully explained the procedures that had taken place plus a couple of ‘before’ and ‘after’ photographs to see exactly what he had done. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the operation and his skills in carrying it out! Top man!!
