Following two total knee replacements I cannot thank Mr Bailey enough for his kindness, understanding and expertise.

From start to finish.. world class service from Christopher and his team. I have had a knee issue for years and I can now get back to running and join my old group of 20 years that I have not ran with for 7+ years. I can not recommend Christopher enough!! With all the chaos in the world we still have a class service to be proud of. Thank you again. Fraser

I had a total knee replacement about 3 months ago. The operation was expertly performed by Mr Bailey and went very well. I am pleased to say my new knee feels just like a natural knee... but without pain of course! I am so pleased I had it done and am very grateful to Mr Bailey for doing such an amazing job in enabling me full mobility again.

Mr Bailey performed a knee replacement operation at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital for me this February. I am over the moon with the whole experience, Mr Bailey has listened to me at every step and the care I received during my operation and in the following months has been outstanding. Mr Bailey has shown incredible knowledge, compassion and complete professionalism. I couldn’t recommend him and the team highly enough. The following aftercare has been amazing, and has given me a new lease of life.

In recent years I’ve experienced increasing right knee pain when walking particularly when negotiating steps and sloping surfaces. Suspecting that I might require surgery I consulted the National Joint Register (NJR). Winchester based Mr Chris Bailey is listed. His primary specialism is knee surgery and he has carried out a considerable number of procedures with excellent patient outcomes & reviews I arranged an initial consultation with Chris Bailey. On the basis of X-ray imagery & clinical assessment he diagnosed acute wear of cartilage on the inside of the right knee. Chris Bailey was of the opinion I would benefit from knee surgery and carefully explained a range of options. I was admitted to Winchester Royal County Hospital as a day patient in October 2025 for partial knee replacement surgery. This was carried out by Chris Bailey who thoroughly explained aspects of my treatment and care prior & soon after surgery. During my several consultations with Chris Bailey he has been reassuring, pragmatic and candid in offering advice & guidance. By the time of my 3 month post surgery review I evaluated that I had made excellent progress. Knee pain had ameliorated and my walking posture & gait had improved markedly. I had no sensation of the device that had been inserted in my knee. Several days prior to surgery I timed myself on a local hilly walking circuit. Post surgery times had improved by around 50%. I am indeed very fortunate that Chris Bailey accepted me as one of his patients and will always be grateful.

I have no complaints. Everything went smoothly and as expected from start to finish.

He explains the options for your treatment on the initial consultation leaving you to assess what level of treatment you require along with advise from him on the pro's and cons. Likewise when in hospital he reminds you of the risks etc and then visits each day after surgery. I have now had my 6 week consultation post surgery and he showed me the x rays and answered all questions I had clearly. He has a very good bedside manner.

Excellent communication from pre op to post op from Mr Bailey, nothing was too much trouble, and he explained things step by step..would highly recommend
