Dr Shah was one of my senior doctors during my training as a junior doctor. I was really keen to pursue a career in cardiology and Dr Shah was very helpful and supportive throughout my training. He helped me write a case base discussion which was published and assisted me in my application to become a cardiology trainee. He is incredibly knowledgable and has a great way of explaining difficult concepts easily. I wish him well in his future career and hope to work with him again in the near future.

I took my mum to see Dr Shah in July. We found him to be kind and understanding .He explained my mum her condition very simply and clearly without alarming her. I find him extremely proffessional and yet he went that extra mile to be helpful and kept in touch via e-mail and telephone. We are really impressed and were happy to be seen by him. we wish him best for the future.

I have had the good fortune of knowing and working with Benoy for many years now. He is not only great colleague to work with but also a great person. On a professional level, he is a fantastic leader, sets a good example, maintains high standards and is always willing to help support as well as teach others. Patients speak very highly of him. He also has excellent imaging skills particularly in echocardiography. On a personal level, he is kind, caring and supportive. He has always gone out of his way to help me when I have worked with/for him. He is someone I feel very comfortable with approaching and seeking help or advice from. He takes time to explain and goes out of his way to help. I am sure he will be a fantastic consultant and I wish him all the success.

My wife and I met Dr Shah in 2011 when I was referred to Cardiology. I was most anxious about my heart and how active I was going to be able to stay. My medical status was clearly explained, as were all the various forms of treatment and recommendations. Dr Shah gave me his email address at our first meeting and when I have been in touch with him, he has happily given me an explanation and been wonderfully reassuring. Dr Shah is one of the few “true” caring doctors it has been my pleasure to meet and the fact that he returns to training in 2014 is a huge loss for me but a great asset for cardiology. This is one doctor we are both going to be extremely sorry to say farewell to when he leaves Northwick Park.

I met Dr Shah for the first time on Tuesday for a Stress Test. Dr Shah has excellent interpersonal skills, great patience, and he explained all of the technical medical terms simply so that I could understand them. He is calm and gave me great confidence in him during a stressful appointment. Also, he went that extra mile, so often forgotten nowadays, and not only telephoned me after hours, but also emailed me - now that is simply superb service. Thank you Dr Shah. Thank you... If only there were more Doctors like you!!
