Mr Agrawal is one of the kindest and professional consultants I have had the pleasure of knowing both professionally and more recently as a patient. His knowledge and care is excellent and makes you feel at ease. Everything was explained to me and I was aware of exactly what was happening at all stages of my care.

I have always had great care from Mr Agrawal over the past 8 years.
During my treatment and follow up appointments, he takes time to listen to my concerns, questions or queries and those of my family.

I am a VERY nervous patient and Mr Agrawal has a caring and relaxed manner which really helped. He also could see me at last minute with a wound. I am going to have some more moles removed and it will be with him again due to his manners. Anyone who is nervous or unsure please book an appointment as he is great.

Mr Avi Agrawal has been wonderful in taking me through by breast cancer treatment from diagnosis through to surgery and follow up. I was amazed when my dressings were removed as he took a very careful and sympathetic approach to minimise scarring and to preserve the aesthetic integrity of my breast. Although there was an easier route to take in removing my tumor, he took a more complex route to achieve the best possible outcome and I am extremely grateful for this. It has been a very anxious time for me and Avi and his team have been very reassuring for me.

I am delighted that I was recommended this surgeon I have just had a breast implant exchange and Capsulectomy.
The whole process from my first consultation to my operation and then post op was first class. I really cannot recommend this surgeon enough. Such a lovely man that can also perform the most amazing surgery. I am 100% happy with the result and cannot thank him enough. I highly recommend Mr Agrawal and if I ever have to return I wouldn’t even think about seeing anyone else.
Profile
As a fully trained Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, I carry out regular diagnostic fast track breast clinics and a full range of breast surgery, including sentinel node biopsy with intra-operative analysis, oncoplastic surgery and breast reconstruction. I also have a special interest in and undertake surgery for skin cancer.
I graduated from the London Hospital Medical College, University of London. My general surgical training was based around several centres of excellence in managing breast diseases, including The Royal Marsden Hospital where I developed oncoplastic techniques to optimise the cosmetic outcome of breast surgery.
I have always been interested in cancer surgery, and as part of my higher surgical training at the University College London, I was awarded a master's degree for my research into Gene Therapy for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
In 2007 I was appointed Consultant Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. I have been the Clinical Lead/Head of department for the Breast and Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Oncology department for Portsmouth for over 10 years. I have also chaired and lead the Breast Multidisciplinary Team at Queen Alexandra Hospital for over 7 years.
I am the Surgical Lead for breast screening cancers and also the Joint Regional Lead for breast cancer for Wessex. I am the Lead Trainer for the Portsmouth National Oncoplastic Fellowship Program and have helped many trainees develop their skills for their consultant career.
