Mr. Emam is a certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon currently working as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Swansea Bay University Health Board (Morriston Hospital) and in The University Hospital of Wales (Cardiff) He has Masters Degree in Surgery and Passed the UK (FRCSPlast) and European (FEBOPRAS) Plastic Surgery Board Exams. After qualifying as a doctor in 2008, Mr. Emam has completed his plastic surgery training in Alexandria Egypt , focusing on all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, then moved to work as a Specialist in plastic surgery in one of the biggest Aesthetic Surgery centres in Jeddah - Saudi Arabia for a year before He moved to the UK to work in Bristol, one of the biggest plastic surgery units in the England where he was trained in Skin Cancer, Hand Surgery , Soft tissue oncology, breast and Microsurgery. Mr. Emam has completed a prestigious breast reconstruction fellowship performing all aspects of microsurgical breast reconstruction as well as aesthetic breast procedures and completed a renowned limb reconstruction fellowship in Southmead Hospital - Bristol trained in all complex acute limb reconstruction and management of bone infection cases. He worked as a locum consultant in Southmead Hospital in Bristol specialising in Breast Reconstruction and Hand Surgery before moving to take up a substantive consultant role in the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic surgery as one of 4 limb reconstruction surgeons providing service to both Morriston hospital and the newly established major trauma centre in the university Hospital of Wales in Cardiff Mr. Emam has performed over 3000 surgical procedures including more than 400 complex microsurgical reconstruction. He is actively involved in research with numerous publication in high impact peer reviewed journal and presented extensively in national and international plastic surgery meetings.
