A Doctor, like Dr. Zia Carrim is a blessing for Mauritius. He is a great professional. To me, his advices and recommendations are sacred. Actually, as far as my eyes are concerned, I will stay with this doctor for the rest of my life. He does not instill fear in you and above all, he shows the diagnosis backed with facts, figures, graphs, pictures, statistics etc. At a certain point, after your scan is over, and the result appears on the screen, you already know what to expect. This is total transparency. Around two years ago, I had already lost around 70 percent of my right eyesight. I was even expecting to lose my sight completely and I told him about it. He assured me that this would not be the case. After around let's say 8 visits, I can say I have recovered my normal eyesight. The EYE CLINIC of Dr. Carrim is a high tech clinic. You no longer have to go abroad for scan, laser surgery etc. All is done at this clinic. This Doctor has invested massively in state of the art technology, and I am privileged to be his patient. Whoever you are, if you are lucky enough to get an appointment quickly at his clinic, you will be highly impressed. Dr. Carrim does not need anybody's recommendation as he is already very well solicited both here and abroad. He is an ex -laureate, he has consultancy in UK, he is a visiting lecturer for the most reputed, universities in the world and to conclude, I he is a great Mauritian professional who makes our nation proud.

I recently had bilateral cataract surgery performed by Dr. Carrim. The pre operation assessment was extensive and professional. The staff were competent, patient and caring. Dr. Carrim took time to explain the procedure and answer all my questions. I felt really confident before going for the surgery. On the morning of the operation, I received the eye clinic kit and once again felt like a special patient and not just one on a list . A few kind words from Dr. Carrim before entering the theatre really helped . During the procedure, Dr. Carrim explained each step and checked frequently that I was feeling well. The follow up visits were as professional as the pre operation assessment and my recovery went very smoothly. I would highly recommend Dr. Carrim and the Eye Clinic staff to anyone with problems with their vision or eyes. This high standard of professional care is very rare and is to be treasured.
