My mom had a cataract surgery few weeks ago with Dr Zia Carrim inserting lense implants in both eyes..The surgery went very well.I highly recommend Dr Zia Carrim.He is very professional and friendly..very diplomatic Dr..and has a very efficient and dedicated staffs. Thanks to Dr Zia Carrim.

In December 2020, I had cataract surgery to my left eye done under local anaesthesia by Dr Zia Carrim. I could watch the entire procedure while listening to him explaining each step he was taking. In January 2021, I discussed anew with Dr Carrim surgery to my right eye (which had cataract surgery done a few years back by another doctor but which unfortunately resulted in increased myopia). I opted for an intraocular implant, under local anaesthesia, with the placement of a sulcoflex lens which would offer reversibility, if this were ever required. We agreed on slight myopia. Dr Carrim clearly explained the various risks associated with the procedure as well as postoperative laser iridotomy ,if necessary. Following surgery on 27 May 2021, I no longer need spectacles for my everyday activities. Dr Carrim told me that it was a first done by him in Mauritius, although he did so many such surgery in UK. What I appreciated most is the clear explanations of Dr Carrim who answered all questions put to him. More importantly, he was always calm and never in a hurry. I would certainly recommend him. One last word. His staff, Nedjema, Raawiyah and Haadia , are pleasant, professional and dedicated. Ahmad Moolna.

Dr Carrim and his team have so wonderfully advised, guided and led me through to my cataract surgery. Despite my phobia of surgical / medical experiences, which has been there since my childhood, the team built my confidence. At some point, before meeting Dr Carrim's team, I made my mind to live with the blurred vision and avoid surgery. Dr Carrim did not let me down, as he delivered exactly what he preached. The operation was quite an experience, with lots of fear on my side but impressive 'maitrise' and patience from Dr Carrim. I do not think any other surgeon would have so calmly handled me. Beyond the medical side, the service and the high spirit of the team carried me away. I was not operated by a Doctor, but by a joyful, charming and caring human being. Big thanks to all the team. My father has undergone a vitrectomy surgery with Dr Carrim who was very helpful. Each process was well explained and the staff were also really helpful. The surgery went well and recovering process as well. The recovery results were excellent. I did not except the result being so good. I definitely recommend the service of Dr Carrim.
